Buttercell 260
Isn't it anti semitism for boycotting a product purely based on the religion of the owner being Jewish or is it really justified? Is it really that justified if products of other religions are boycotted based on the same reason?
leggo 1
if the product is helping israel and its military and their oppression on palestine and palestinian then it's not anti-semitism
Anarchy OH 1,365
It is anti-semitism. But if the company supports/is profiting from Israel's crimes in Palestine then no, it's not anti-semitism.

But if the company supports/is profiting from Israel's crimes in Palestine then no, it's not anti-semitism. That reason is fair enough. Cause usually people (at least around social media) will only reply that the product is Jewish. Coupled with quite a number of people from my country not liking Jews it's hard to know if it is out of prejudice or because it is a company that supports/benefits from Israel. I mean not all Jewish support Israel right? or am I just dumb.

I may be wrong but I thought the boycott was for items grown on Illegal Israeli settlements and by illegal I'm using the UN's words not my own. In the EU, items from the settlements have to be clearly labelled, whereas items from non settlement Israeli areas are just labelled as Israel and where I live are not part of the boycott. Ummmm in my country that is definitely not the case. As the previous users state and after I give more thought about it, it is true that it is more because of the Israel/Palestine war but if you want to be particular they well just say its Jewish.
