Event Semi finals 2- OHvision song contest 2017 - CLOSED RESULTS PENDING

44  artists and their songs have been picked to represent their country in  OHvision song contest 2017.

But only 20 songs can make it to the final. so the contest has been split into 2 semi finals with 22 songs fighting each other for 10 spots available in the semi for the final.

 

Semi final 1 is over and the first 10 finalist has been picked.

How the 10 songs who make it to the final is decided. 

 

 

1. The contestants/country vote:

the 22 players  who are representing the country in semi final 1 and picked the song for their country will rank their  10 favourite songs from 1- 10 in the ohvision pm.

 

their rank 1 will receive 12 points.

2nd - 10 points

3rd. - 8 points

4th - 7 points.

5th -  6 points- 

6th -  5 points.

7th -  4 points

8th - 3 points

9th - 2 points.

10th - 1 point.

 

THEY CAN NOT GIVE THEMSELVES ANY POINTS.

 

 

2. The poll in this thread.

the top 10 highest voted songs from the poll will receive triple points.

 

1st most votes- 36 points

2nd - 30 points

3rd -24 points

4th - 21 points

5th - 18 points

6th - 15 points

7th - 12 points

8th - 9 points

9th - 6 points

10th - 3 points

etc.

 

 

The songs that make it to the final are the countries with the 10 highest scores when votes from the poll, and from the other contestants/ countries are combined.

 

incase of a ties, the song that had the most votes in the poll are ranked higher. if tie in poll and points, the song with the most highest player given points (e.g had more 12 points)

Oh my, only one glance and I see names of artists I love like Flume, Marina & The Diamonds, Tinashe, Stromae, and my all-time favorite band (with Nine Inch Nails): Sigur Rós. Holy fuck, how can I say no to all this, 2nd round is coming out STRONG!

I'm French and I didn't even know who Kendji Girac was 2 minutes ago, and all I can think about is why does he look like he's 35 years old while he's supposed to be barely 20 years old. Also, please, French pop can be so much better than this ;_; the song is kinda catchy and the beat is good tho

And even then, Graham Norton is a much better and funnier MC than the French ones could ever be.

As a French to represent our country I would have chosen Indochine... I guess I need to renew my French music selection as Indochine is getting pretty old

Not a fan of them either, but they would already be slightly better yeah. Although I'm really not a fan of Maitre Gims non-stop abuse of the autotune in a way that is grating to the max. At least Indila's voice is pleasing to listen to.
