Do you think you're a disappointment to your parents?

I think I'm starting to become a disappointment.

My Mom knows about how I'm doing in college and is telling me that she thinks it's just time I just found a full time job since I'm just "wasting money" because I can't take my schooling seriously.

My family puts a huge importance on school. Even if I became successful without a degree somehow, I know they'd still be disappointed in me for not getting a degree. I mean my dad became wealthy without it, but they still ALWAYS bring up him not being college educated.

My Mom says she doesn't want a "professional community college student" in her house. I know I'm probably getting kicked out soon. I mean it's not like I don't have a job. I work a lot actually. It's just that I'm not progressing in school.

What about you guys? Are your parents disappointed in you?

My dad went to a private boarding school and now works as a bus driver.

My mum didn't even go to college, never paid attention at school. She's better in that she currently attends university to be a morgue assistant so she can stop living that nurse life, but at my age? She was married, working at a care home, with a 2 year old kid (me).

I'm at a good university, and a decent person for the most part.

Neither of them have space to criticise.

Not my parent's, but my grandma totally. Anything I or my sister accomplish or achieve big or small it's not enough for her and she'll make sure I know about it. She also gave my mom shit for letting me take an extra year in highschool because of my anxiety, which she thinks is "make believe" and I'm saying that I have it to get attention. Since I started high school I avoid her negative ass by never seeing her unless It's Christmas or my Birthday and only because my mother forces me to. Ugh.
