redheart 7,440 Posted May 21, 2017 Share Posted May 21, 2017 I think most of us agree that IGAB is SM most iconic experimental song if you disagree then just ignore that sentence but we never talk about the forgotten BOP that is Sherlock the song itself doesn't sound like an experimental one but everything about it is perfect, choreo, vocals, visuals even Taemin's long hair however I think y'all know that it's made of two songs Clue and Note and both are fine as hell especially Note Clue is more like the "base" of the song imo it has more lyrics than Note, the structure and tempo of the song is clearer too whereas Note is more like the highlights of Sherlock anyways I was thinking about it and I thought that this particular concept would be fantastic if applied to groups like Red Velvet or Black Pink that have two defined concepts they could comeback with title tracks that's made out of two other songs, the base would be Velvet (or Black for BP) and the highlight would be Red (or Pink) and we would have two version albums like Ex'act or My voice it would have worked for Exo as well if there were still 12 of them RIP ExoM I feel like ReVel's Dumb dumb, Russian Roulette and Rookie also BP's Boombayah and Exo's Call me Baby would be perfect for this, I can't explain why with much precision because I never properly studied Music but I'll try let's take RR as an example let's say the "base" is called Gun and the Highlight is Trigger I know I ain't being fucking original here but please bear with me Gun wouldn't have the la lala la, or the sound effects that video games sounds effects (you know like when Irene starts singing in the first verse there's a vvvvveeuuttt in the background that hypes up to the chorus) also when the song breaks down and Seulgi is singing there wouldn't be the la la la la in the background. It would be just the tempo the vocals except for the chorus with the Koejineun heart B-B-beat (the vocals should be more intense so the song is not too empty) Trigger would have the la lala la, the video game sound effects the chorus, but the verses would be replaced by something else and the breakdown should be more intense with the la la la la ... if you understood that messy ass explanation then you got my general idea anyways I've had this in my mind for a while because I fucking love Sherlock Worship this major BOP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
