Have you ever gotten your wisdom teeth removed?

I've only got my top ones removed 2 years ago, people would say how painful their experience was after theirs got taken out but it didn't hurt for me. The surgeon told me he couldn't touch the bottom ones because according to the x-rays he took, the ends of the teeth are close to a nerve, meaning if he were to take them out, my mouth would be completely numb for a few months to forever which is bad so he didn't want to take the risk.

 

2 MOTHER FUCKING YEARS LATER THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BACK OF MY DAMN MOUTH BE FEELING SORE AS A BITCH! I THOUGHT IT WAS CANKER SORES THAT JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE NEXT TO MY TOOTH BECAUSE I TEND TO DEVELOP CANKER SORES WHEN I'M STRESSED. I WENT TO THE DENTIST YESTERDAY AND NO BITCH; IT WAS THE DAMN WISDOM TOOTH ITSELF TRYING TO MAKE IT'S GRAND ENTRANCE! THE SHIT LOOKS LIKE THE HEAD OF THE BABY POPPING OUT OF A DAMN VAGINA! WORST OF ALL IT'S GROWING SIDEWAYS AND COLLIDING INTO ANOTHER DAMN TOOTH! I WANT THIS OUT OF MY DAMN MOUTH! THE X-RAY BELOW AIN'T MINE BUT THIS WHAT IT FUCKING LOOKS LIKE!

Yes. I had 2 wisdom teeth plus two molars removed that my wisdom teeth fucked up.

 

 

I had to go under for the surgery but surprisingly it wasn't as painful as I was expecting: day 2 was pretty bad but the pain meds helped. My doctor did an amazing job and I was in much more pain prior to the surgery.

 

Stupid wisdom teeth.

 

Mine that were removed were like the ex ray you posted and that's why I had to remove the molars too, the wisdom teeth grew into them and was basically breaking them apart :( they were a mess.

Yep. Got all 4 removed at the same time. My cheeks were so swollen and uncomfortable for almost 2 weeks.

yes, 2 of them! it was pretty bad expirence bc my surgeon was rude and yelled at me. also, his assistant (possibly studen idk) missed my mouth (meat?idk what's it called in english) when he gave me anesthesia and i swallowed half of it.

i also couldn't open my jaw all the way. i still think i can't open it 100%.

Just get it out. I was grateful to get mine out. My bottom tooth looked exactly like the one in the pic. Doc said it would never come out, but it did and caused some unbearable pain. Seems it's cheaper to extract if the tooth has popped out somewhat.

yeah when I was 19. It wasn't so bad and by the 2nd day I was sort of able to eat solids again as long as I cut them up finely. I had to make sure not to let any food particles fall into the sockets where my wisdom tooth were extracted from when eating though. Unlike most other people I never had experiences with dry sockets or any of that painful post-surgery after effects. I got all four of them out because my mouth is too small to leave any of them alone.

My friend (she's my dentist) said that she will remove 2 of the wisdom teeth and I'm afraid tbh.

I got all 4 of mine pulled and 2 of them were impacted. It was not a fun experience.

Anyway, it sucked balls!!!!! I had the exact same thing you had. My bottom 2 wisdom teeth were growing horizontally, and it hurt like a bitch. Since I was young back then, I decided to bite the bullet and pulled out all 4 at the same time. And for whatever reason, I had the balls to only do local anaesthesia, so I was conscious the whole time. I just remember having the giant needle injected into my gums to numb it (why didn't I close my eyes??? I still don't know till this day...)

 

The doc started with the bottom 2, because he said the top 2 would be easy to pull because of gravity. He was right. HOLY CRAP, half way through, he was having difficulty pulling the bottom 2. I remember he brought in a drill, A FREAKIN' DRILL!!!! to break my bottom wisdom teeth in small pieces so he can pull them out. Then I had to get stitches, and was in a pain for like 2 full days. The doc actually did a really great job. My face was only mildly swollen, and it healed really well. But it's an experience that I would never wish upon my worst enemy (if I had one...)

I had one pulled out, didn't hurt at all.

If it's growing like that, it's better to pull it out since it'll damage the molar next to it, you just need a very experienced dentist so he doesn't touch the nerve

No and after witnessing what my sister had to go through when she removed hers, I don't want to and hopefully won't need to remove them

I've had one removed so far, and the general area has been weird ever since. I was awake but on novocaine, and the dentist removed the entire tooth by yanking it out.
