Japanese Celebs who made it despite past criminal records

While there is no mistake the music and film industry has heavy ties to the Yakuza's legal interests. I never hear about stories where in a country where getting a criminal record generally means you are a shunned still managed to somehow establish a successful honest life. Albeit with their past kept off the record.

 

While reading an instagram for an ad for business that talked about American Celebs who became success despite adversity this question popped in my mind and I wanted to get some anwsers. Idols, actors, musicians who do you think would meet the Legends Keep Fighting critirea in Japan?

Maybe VK bands. Most people or celebs that gets criminal records get shunned in Japan unlike US. But there's the president of Johnny's Entertainment. But that's all Incan think of.

Makihara Noriyuki immediately comes to mind. I'm amazed how he managed to still have a successful career in spite of being a gay man who was convicted on drug charges.
