Have you Ever had so much ANXIETY about something

That you get triggered at the sight of it and can't calm down...and it kind of sneaks up at you at random times and you can't stop worrying about it day after day? This is a serious Q btw about anxiety/fear. What did you do that helped?

What's bothering you?

And yes I have. I used to be deathly afraid of having to take tests without being able to leave the classroom to go to the bathroom/blow my nose/etc. so it would roll around in my mind for a long time.

The only thing that helps is to just confront it head on.

yup

talking to someone helps but only if they're actually genuinely willing to hear you out. i guess my 2 cents is that in my experience distracting myself works best (like watching something really funny) since it helps get my mind off of whatever's bothering me some of the time and helps shift my mood if i'm really down

but yeah anxiety sucks ~ don't let it overwhelm you and try not to bottle it up if you can

Yep I have general anxiety about a lot of things tbh but I get they way your talking about with needles and pretty much anything to do with hospitals. I sometimes have panic like episodes where I freak out about the possibility of getting an injection. I kind of just ride them out and ignore it all again, it certainly doesn't help that I'm a bit of a hypochondriac. Ah, why the hell am I like this. ohdearplz.png

Trust me I have severe anxiety and panic attacks - it's mostly over 1 phobia that I don't want to share but I always try to calm myself by saying, "calm down. You are fine. You are safe. It doesn't matter if it hurts as long as it doesn't kill you. Nothing is going to happen to you. There's no use worrying over something you can't control. We've been through this." And on and on until my reasoning comes back. I think outside of myself. I tell myself to look at other people, to see how carefree they are. That everything is okay. That everything WILL be okay, because then if it isn't you won't have to worry anymore because it would have already happened.

It sounds ridiculous when you're not feeling any of it but when you are it helps, at least it does to me
