Ah, I saw this MV a month ago (?)

I thought they were pretty awesome, although J-Pop would turn into K-Pop if they follow along (I wouldn't mind tho, It'd be pretty cool actually)

this would probably put J-pop back on the map tho, theyre so stagnant, having more groups like this would make a huge impact on the J-pop market,

and in a way it wouldnt be like kpop, because this group has members who arent even asian, kpop is so uptight they have to have all asian members.

if j-pop were to follow this trends they would probably do so well as to even exceed kpop.

Ohhh boy how is everything remotely kpop like.....while I like FAKY I prefer less girl group and boy groups they should be numerable and distinctive that's why I left kpop because it is saturated with these type of groups that are no different from each other.jpop has more choice and facets so you don't get bored easily FAKY are great but they aren't all what jpop is btw this is probably my least favorite song from them

All members are asian though. Tina and Diane are half. Anna is from New Zealand but her folks are Japanese.

I've been meaning to listen to this song.

It's better than I thought it'd be. I remember Da-Ice leaving avex since they were focusing so much on FAKY.

Speaking of which Gno you may like Da-Ice.

I'm not sure if anyone made that implication here. OP just wants more groups like them.

I'm not sure how popular groups like FAKY would be though, but adding to the variety is always nice.

oh here you go Gno. May or may not be your taste.

Hmm well I don't want it to be like kpop personally that would be a nightmare for me,maybe OP should try to diversify a bit try to like jpop for what it has. On another note it is upsetting that Da-ice had to be moved as usual avex has problems in handling groups but you know Japan ain't here for groups like FAKY unfortunately

I also hate the fact people keep bashing FAKY cause they're "copying kpop".

Frankly the only "kpopish" aspect to them is their clothing style. Their music is more euro-pop/edm, FAKY themselves have said this in quite a few interviews already.

Just because a Japanese girl group is trying a more fiercer style as opposed to the typical idol-cute pop sound doesn't mean they are trying to be kpop. Quite other Japanese artists have a similar style too.

no fuck that kpop rip off

their other song is better anyway

this ain't kpop this feels more like A-pop Euro-pop music.

oh i didnt enough research apparently, i just saw they know japanese, i knew Anna was japanese, and know assuming is wrong but as i knew atleast 3 were japanese by looking at them, Tina and Diane however don't look like they have any asian descent in them ~

that what i was saying their should be more groups/artist like them in j-pop, ya know artist that have more individuality, and actual singers instead of just a bunch of back-up dancers, especially from the j-pop ive seen

i've tried to get into more j-pop, but the recent stuff i've seen, just lacks that oomph..

no...but how did you choose like 1 of their bad - at least imo - songs compared to the others they have?

i've heard their debut song, its ok but it isnt as catchy as this.

This is true. Them genes are strong.

At first when I didn't know them I was like omg there's a white girl (Tina) here.

K-Pop is the thing that's stagnant, honesty. Japan has always been ahead as far as music trends go. People just either refuse to look for or ask about acts that do the kind of music they want (or they refuse to listen to an act because it isn't a group). FAKY is a reminder of something I don't want in J-Pop: boring, cookie-cutter girl groups. Yeah, they're mixed race, but that's not really all that unique in Japan. If J-Pop were to start doing groups like K-Pop, I'd be upset. Thankfully, the best groups in Japan aren't like that (or I'd be done with groups).

I don't like this song...

I'm still not sold on them...

They seem a tad generic...

There's enough groups as is...

KPop is the stagnant thing, hence why I left...

And JPop is doing better than KPop as far as revenue goes, always has been. It's only internationally that KPop is doing better but even then it's not bringing in enough money to even match JPop.

I disagree as well.

most j-pop i have heard all sounds the same, or like theyre stuck the early 2000's, i myself am not saying it needs to sound like kpop no not all, but J-pop needs to have more pizazz and get with the times, there's alot more interesting stuff happening in kpop then there is j-pop, bet if j-pop was bigger this place would be a j-pop based forum then k-pop.

It's more like KPop is alot more Westernized and palatable to the ears of foreigners. Also KPop is a lot more about things other than the actual music.

I don't know what JPop you're hearing but it's not the same stuff I'm listening to.
