CrayCray 2,636
I think it's kind of cool but at the same time scarily weird... my sister told me they've already 3d printed a prosthetic leg for a kid, guns, etc. Also there's this Mouse gives birth to pups using 3d printing. A Hamster Named Loneliness 3,680
Yes, I've known about it for a while now. They even offer free 3D printing classes at my community college. Doctors have used 3D printing to print synthetic organs such as hearts

denizen mars 5,911
yeah...it's just a machine like any other.... you can use a lathe to make a gun too, you'd just have to know how. I'd say the learning curve is easier with a 3D printer except my personal experience with it was that it's just as finicky and takes more skill than just pushing a button as well. or maybe things have changed in the last few years and there are 3D printers where you can just feed them any CAD file and they'll know exactly how to do it with minimal input honestly since a professional quality 3D printer plus the material it uses will run you thousands of dollars I don't know why criminals would even bother trying to make a crappy plastic gun with it when they could just buy some unregistered real gun for cheaper
Ploy Sauce 1,689
We have one at work and I want to use it so bad but only the engineering director is allowed for now. They are so cool. I saw a video of one that made a house.
Kanan 4,318
Yeah! I use 3D printed parts for a lot of my cosplays because they're lightweight and cut down a lot of the time it takes to make stuff from Worbla/Eva foam.

I'm pretty sure they will invent it but it's going to cost a lot lol but it will surely reduce the line for organ transplants yes food!!! also let me buy my kpop albums with 3d prints instead of making me wait 823934 months to get it ;-;
