야 = basically casual ending for -ì´ì—ìš”/-예요

 

on it's own with out context, there really isn't much different of 바보 vs. 바보야

 

야 would just really imply that you're addressing someone i guess

no there's no difference between the two. both are informal, but usually when you add ya to the end of sentences/words you're talking to a close friend or something. otherwise it's disrespectful

I think there's 2 meanings

 

1. It can be used to say "is". For example, "jae neun babo ya" means "he is a babo".

 

2. It can be used to add emotion/anger. Saying "babo ya" or "shekki ya" is stronger than justing saying babo or shekki.

Ya is used for those who are close with others. It's used for intimacy level or affections toward someone else too. But never and I repeat never ​use it on a stranger
