The version w/o rap on The Wonder Years just has Sunmi/Sohee/Yeeun/Sunye vocals. The only time I've heard Hyuna on the track is in the making-of video. TBH I'd always assumed Hyuna was actually singing in the "original" version of Tell Me... because one of the first times I heard Tell Me it was when 4Minute was covering it, and she both sings the first verse in that cover (because, I'd assumed, it was hers,) and does the rap (because she's 4Minute's main rapper). I suppose she could have just sung it because she's 4Minute's connection to WG/most popular/blahblahblah. That when she sang the cover it sounded different from the album I just thought was due to changes in her voice overall--like, she raps differently in 4Minute than she did in WG as well and her voice sounds higher. But listening to the Wonder Years vs. So Hot versions, I can't tell if the voice for that verse is the same. (In the Wonder Years version whoever sings that verse honestly sounds different to me from when SunMi opens the corresponding verse after the first chorus, but they may have re-recorded everything for the So Hot version because Hyuna's not credited for "backing vocals" on that one. (Even though she's only credited for "backing vocals", I figured that was just because she was no longer in the group, not because she literally only had backing vocals on Tell Me. But I dunno!)) XD Lyrics distro would have been a bit borked (in Sohee's favor) if Hyuna were also singing in Tell Me, so I dunno. WG and Miss A tend to have fair lyrics distro, so I guess it was a little unlikely. Hyuna's good looks + great dancing abilities would have put constant attention to them, add in their smash tracks and WG could def be rivaling SNSD right about now with 2NE1 in 3rd place.
