i agree, i have a thing for dance so

but i guess it's not a weird "thing" considering kpop is, after all, about music. a group with no good vocalists imo is pointless. they could've become a dance team then. but if they have enough good vocalists in the group i can't be bothered by a member being more talented in dancing than singing lmao... regardless they're still talented. just not in music, maybe.

I think it is because idols are primarily singers, then dancers. That is also why some of the dancers of groups, who may lack in vocals, are seen as the weakest links in the groups.

If an idol can't sing, it is seen as talentless, but if they can't dance/dance badly, it is not commented/critizesed too much.

Some may see it as stupid/ignorant/ complete BS, but it is how the industry/music scene is.

Since it's about music (more about singing and composing song), ofc I prefer the one singing. BUT, that idol must be able to sing that great/outstanding. Same case like dancing. I prefer the one who can dance that great/outstanding. If the dance/singing not that outstanding, I prefer singing, yes.

So, I mean, I'm okay for both IF their talent is that outstanding, either singing, or dancing, rapping.

for me dancing skills<<<<<<singing skills

idk if you have good vocals, as long as you sound good to my ears, you're fine

but i don't want to watch someone who can't dance stumble around -- I like intense choreo that makes me feel proud when i watch it (which is why i'm more fond of boy groups...of course, not saying girl's can't have intense choreo, but majority go for the cute concept, so the dances aren't super strong)

that's why I thinks it's sad! :(

In the end of the day, singing is more important than dancing becaue the music is more important than the performance.. But I hate it when incredible dancers are called untalented because they have mediocre vocals.

If you're a singer you should be able to sing. Otherwise, sign up to be a dancer. I'm sure 1MILLION dance team is hiring.

but those dance studios like 1 million or millenium doesn't appear in shows on TV they don't perform like singers they don't have that much opportunities

Well, singing skills are important, but i don't think it's all that it takes to be a good kpop idol.

If a group has decent singers and amazing dancers and make a really good performance i will love them even more than a group who has really good voices but no stage presence.

And the rest of us have to suffer from their off-key singing because they want money???
