Do you think guys who buy things for their female friends mean they "like" them?

I've asked my sister this. All her guy friends that have bought her something (stuff toy, jacket, necklace, etc.) all seem to have a crush on her so I was curious as to if guys only buy things for their female friends because they have feelings for them?

I can't say since I'm not a guy but I think it depends on the person. My brother likes buying things for his female best friends. He likes them, of course, since they're his best friends after all but not romantically. He's very loyal and he has been dating the same girl for more than 5 years now. But he's a really nice person and he likes giving gifts to everyone (male or female) he cares about (family, friends, relatives, etc). ^^

 

But I see other guys give stuff to the girls they like. So yeah, I think it depends on the person.

If you guys just met and have been friends for 1 week then I think he might like you

If you guys have been friends for years then it is just friendship/ he has your back

That's what I was thinking one day. Once my friend was asking for a kiss 'as a friend'.. I didn't know if I should kiss him.. He was very insisting so I gave him a kiss on the cheeks. (I had mixed feelings so didn't know if I should kiss him.... I didn't want to give him the wrong message (just in case I didn't like him lateron))

Personally for me I gift people stuff whenever I feel it. Even if I don't like them as more than friends.

Typically you only receive those type of gifts from close friends in special occasions (birthdays, Christmas, etc.) but if it's from someone who isn't that close and in no particular special occasions then is very likely their motives are romantic.

That is very likely and most of the time it too. I asked another one of my sister the same thing but her answer was, it could mean the guy just wants to feel good about himself...

You only feel good about yourself if the girl likes a lot the gift and gives you a kiss or huge hug, but otherwise is just pathetic if you get rejected or friendzoned. It happened a lot to my friend where he would invest a lot of money and effort trying to get girls but I think he was just overcompensating he's lack of confidence and personality, but he was very ambitious with his target and I'll give him credit for that lol

 

In my case I don't tend to gift stuff randomly to girls I like or are my friends, unless it's their birthday or I get directly asked to buy them flowers or stuff.

Well actually this one boy I liked used to give me his drawings, one day his drawing had a code saying be my gf on the back. Usually though guys will get me food and shit, but I pay them back.
