A women or man should diet for her/his own health and happiness, not for dating purposes. There are plenty of potential partners that choose to date another person primarily based on their character and not their looks. And plenty of people are physically attracted to bigger people as well. As a woman I have always been into larger guys, both muscular and chubby type, but I dated skinny men too if they were attractive to me in other ways.
