Brown Eyed Girls and Hyuna representing Korea in best-selling game

The popular gaming app Subway Surfers (with over 100 million downloads) recently released their Seoul update, featuring references to veteran girl group Brown Eyed Girls (BEG in short) and Hyuna of 4minute. The new update introduces a new playable character called Mina who can be seen performing the legendary hip-swaying moves from BEG's 2009 hit Abracadabra.

 

Apart from the new character they also made a new board available, the so called Bubblegum board. The board name, as well as Mina chewing and popping bubble gum in her animations are speculated to be a homage to Hyuna's controversial smash hit Bubble Pop!

Both were part of Psy's mvs, so I think that might have something to do with the choice of people.

Yeah that's quite possible but whoever made this seems to atleast know about Bubble Pop

Watching Bubble Pop! was my introduction to Korean Pop music back in 2012. Good for Hyuna and 4Minute, when people discover Hyuna it leads them to 4Minute and more positive exposure for all of them.
