[MESS] Soyeon and Boram not participating in the last T-ARA comeback + 'planned reality show cancelled'

On May 6th, it was reported that the 6 members of T-ara who were to make a comeback on June 1st could ultimately not reach an agreement.

The members' contracts will expire with MBK Entertainment on May 15th and the 6 members were originally supposed to maintain their activities until the middle of June with an album and concert. However, Soyeon and Boram have changed their minds before reaching an agreement. Therefore, the comeback is expected to proceed with the four remaining members Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon, who will re-record the new songs.

 

MBK has confirmed the news. Soyeon and Boram decided to end activities with MBK when their contract expires. T-ara cannot use the recordings with Soyeon and Boram so the 4 remaining members must re-record. The comeback is no longer on June 1st. The date has yet to be determined.

 

According to producers and others involved, T-ara's reality program which was supposed to be filmed at the end of this month has been cancelled. The program was to feature the 6 members traveling for 3 nights and 4 days in a camping car and reminiscing about the past 9 years.

The thing is we don't know what is happening behind the scene. It could be that MBK was trying to get the girls to extend their contract and threaten Soyeon and Boram that if they refuse to do so, they could not attend their last concert. There is no way the girls want to extend their contract with MBK. They finally got their redemption in some small way, and it was the time for them to move on. MBK though seem to not be please that T-ARA will not renew their contract. The fact that Soyeon and Boram want to end their contract means that the rest of the girl whose contract ends in December will want out also. I guess MBK wanted to end T-ARA, but only on their terms.
