last year 25 songs representing 25 different countries competed on Onehallyu for 2016 OHvision song contest.

Malaysia was victorious as 2016 winner.


 



 


 


Due to the overwhelming response to last year, OHvision song contest 2017 will be bigger with the introduction of semi finals.


 


This means up maximum 75  entries representing 75 countries can participate. 


 


that means maximum of 75 unique songs from all over the globe.

PHASE 1- sign ups


  Pick a country to represent.


The first 57 players who pm me unpicked countries, the artist, and a youtube link to the song


You can pm me up to 5 different countries and songs as back up.

You can change the song and artist before semi final, but cant change countries untill all 75 entries have been picked.


 


Rules


To make it more fair certain rules must be followed when it comes to picking the songs/ country you would like to represent.


 

 


 


 


1. no one can pick Korea or japan. this includes ex kpop idols (luhan, kris) or j artists promoting in america.


 


2. only one player can represent 1 country, so if someone claims Spain , no one else is allowed to represent Spain.


 

 


3. you cant pick an artist who had a top 5 US billboard single.


 


4.- the artist doesn't have to sing in the language of the country you pick, if they are e.g half Spanish or ethically from the country you represent you can pick them.


 


5. no Eurovision songs.


 


6. The top 3 artists from  pervious ohvision contests cant ever be used again (e.g yuna, Zara Larsson, Dani im, cant ever be used again) however other artists not in top 3 can, as long as the same song from last year isn't chosen.


 


7. there is no time limit with how old the song is, so you can pick a 50 year old song.


 


if none of the rules is followed i will ignore your pm and go down to the next pm. and you will have to get to the back of the que.


 


 


 


 


 


 


PHASE 2


 


 

Semi finals and voting.


After all 75 entries are chosen There will be 3- 4 semi finals. where countries with the lowest score will be eliminated.


there are 2 diffrent ways to get points, players and OH poll.


During the player voting phase , fellow semi finalist players/contestant who picked the songs will give points to their favourite top 10 songs in their semi final. They are not allowed to give themselves any points.

the top-ranked song getting 12 points


, the 2nd -highest ranked song 10 points,


3rd - 8 points


4th - 7 points


5th - 6 points


6th - 5 points


7th - 4 points


8th- 3 points


9th- 2 points


10th- 1 point.


 


 


any song not ranked in the top 10 by the player gets 0 points.

the OH Poll where users vote will give the top 10 triple points.


 


 


 

 


the highest scoring 7 (from combination of poll+ player points,  ) from each semi final automatically make it through, while the next 4 highest scoring losers of all the semi finals will make it through as wild cards.


 


PHASE 3


 

Final


in the final, the top 25 songs battle it out. with all 75 players/countries, even the one who failed the semi finals, will vote for their top 10 along with the OH poll.


 


 


 


 


 


How is a winner decided?


the winner is the song with the most points in the final, with players given points + OH poll scores. 


 


 


Prizes!


 


first place can choose between:


unique item


unique ring


15 platinum tokens.


 


2nd and 3rd place gets whats ever is left.

when is the very latest we will be able to switch btwn songs?

it might take a few days to fill the spoits, and then ill give everyone a few days on top to change songs.

 

so i say about few days, 4-5.

i thought it would level the playig field. cause eurovision has some gold songs.

There so many left though just look through a country list lol https://www.state.gov/misc/list/

 

I mean china,thailand, south africa, chile, mexico etc. all still open

so many arabic countries left aswell 

 

even jamaica is still left^^
