if something bad happens with the prince consort, Elisabeth is still the Queen. 

Harry is not the first in the line of succession. His father is, than his older brother, than William's children (George and Charlotte) ...Henry is probably 5th.

 

the husband of the Queen is not 'King', he's the Duke of Edinburgh, the prince consort of Elizabeth.

United Kingdom doesn't have a King, they have a Queen, she's the ruler.

 

the wife of a king can be queen, but the husband of a queen cannot be king according to English common law. A wife takes her husband's name and rank upon marriage, but this doesn't apply when female royals marries if she already has a higher title rank than her husband.

Prince Phillip dying doesn't change anything. The head is actually Queen Elizabeth. Now if she dies then the crown goes to Prince Charles. After that Prince William.

I'll wait til further news is released, but if he is dead I'm not shocked the Queen outlived him. Hopefully he's okay though.

 

 

Edit: if he died nothing will happen to the line Charles was always first when the queen dies, idk if this is true so someone correct me, isnt Charles not liked

i hate to say this but... it's 'then' not 'than'

not simply because i'm a grammar police, but those two words when used wrongly gives the wrong meaning, it can be confusing.

NZ Herald says Buckingham has already denied these claims, but i'm v. confused by the entire article because it's dated 3pm May 4th because NZ and i have no clue. i hope no one has died. death isn't fun.

okay, i reread the article and the source is being called a "palace press officer", yet ROyal Protocol states that no significant annoucements are made until 8am british time. i doubt anything has actually been said to anyone outside of that palace/family.


 


we will be waiting hours yet to hear something.


 


i have no idea though how Operation Forth Bridge, the death plan for Prince Philip proceeds. i've only read up on Operation London Bridge which is for Elizabeth herself.


 


yes, i seem overly interested/informed. it is because i am fascinated by the British royalty and the pomp and circumstance that governs them.
