I have not seen western fans being racist towards BTS

I haven't seen ching chong comments or any downplaying of BTS or their fans with racist slurs.

I'm seeing more curious onlookers and bystanders checking out BTS.

That moment when western fans show more respect for BTS than actual kpop fans.

Unrelated- I knew that the 1D fangirls would eventually move on to BTS, there's no hot young boy group in for them to fill up the void of 1D(since 5sos are now nugus). If BTS gets all those directioners ,imagine how big their fandom will be.

I have seen some tweets from Arianna's fans which are extremely rude and racist. Haven't seen any from beliebers. Also, there are tweets from some armys that cross the line. But yeah, majority of the western artist fans tweets are nice, even from lady gaga's and nicki's fans who curious about bts. Honestly, I thought it would be like army vs exo-l 2.0 lmao.

I have seen some, but like other have said, this time the amount of those negative comments it's way low compared to past times. That's the good thing.

I'd like to know if this is happening because western fandoms are slowly making progress and getting over their kpop hate, or if it's thanks to the fact that we're against beliebers instead of directioners. Because, honestly, somehow I feel like beliebers aren't as racists as 1d fans. I think directioners' ugly comment were often driven by the fact that BTS it's also a famous boyband and that translates to direct competition, which also brings jealousy and saltiness over kpop in general not just BTS, since they seemed to live in a bubble in where the thought the only famous boyband in the world was 1D and no other fandom or group was legit competition to them.

Mmmm, interesting.

I have seen messy people from all fandoms that I want to fight for being so stupid and trashy. And you're right OP, I feel like some of the western stans had more positive reaction to be Bts than other bitter salty ass kpop fans. What really matters is that I've seen support from both sides.
