I want to inform you that you are being racist and discriminatory. Please reconsider your views.

You probably can't do this alone so please put a lot of your thoughts on overcoming this limitation and learn from more informed, open-minded people.

I can't bother to type a paragraph today so good luck.

Not all J idols do?

And it's not like K-Pop isn't favoring an innocent + childish concept these days anyway. Have you heard rookie girl groups?

E-Girls & Color Code aren't Idols btw, but I agree that some Korean Groups with innocent concepts sound the same, so there is no problem here.

LDH can deny it all they want E-Girls are still idols in terms of how they're promoted lbr

color-code not so much but it's still J-Pop and the term idols is much looser for K-Pop fans so I decided to throw them in anyway.

Not all of them, you clearly know nothing about Japanese singers, idols, and bands. Let me show you some of them with good voice that I know. Usually most of them come from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s which is the golden age of J-POP. Although now in 2017, there are still some of them with good voice and I'll show you some of them too.

Except they are not promoted as idols at all, they don't have relationship bans like other idol groups do, they don't use gimmicks to sell various different versions of the same songs like Idols do and they don't participate in handshake events to sell their music (idols also usually have lots of extras with their singles, hence the high numbers for first day releases).

LDH isn't an Idol Company, period.

They appear on idol shows all the time though. I personally think the idea of an idol has shifted in Japan. This article has some pretty good insight too

And even if E-Girls aren't idols in the J-Pop realm, in the K-Pop realm they would be considered idols.

You shouldn't describe Japanese groups using 'Kpop Terms' for starters, would you use that reasoning on an American Group like Fifth Harmony? Japan has several Pop Groups that aren't exclusively 'Idols', Idols in Japan have a specific marketing formula and not every boy or girl groups falls in that category.

I'm using it in K-Pop terms because this is a K-Pop fan asking why all J-idols sound like children. Does that make sense?

And clearly a substantial amount of people disagree, lol

Even if a Kpop Fan is asking, you shouldn't give them false information...so your proof is a few aramajapan comments? A site where it's Commenters are known for having it out for LDH, and not the specific definition and culture of Idols in Japan. Ok0u0plz.png

No, it's the Arama article and the Yahoo Japan survey.

It's not false information if it's not something set in stone in the first place...

LDH Groups aren't Idols despite what surveys and comments you want to throw at people, they don't market like Idol Groups and they themselves don't claim to be an Idol Company so everything you're saying is just hearsay and nothing is set in stone.

My definition of idols is different from yours. I never used the fact that people disagree as a way to set the definition of idol as a truth, just that there are others who have a similar view as mine (from a general public survey in Japan), so maybe there's something to it. Let's just leave it at that.

I already told you that Idol Groups like 46/48G are marketed and managed in a specific way which makes them Idols in Japan but LDH groups certainly aren't, they're just Groups, you don't need to label every group as 'Idol' because they came from Japan. Anyway, I'm not going to continue the conversation, I respect your opinion, but let's just agree to disagree. Good Day~
