'SNL Korea' drops down from a 19+ rated to 15+ rated program due to new time slot + new poster

Ahead of its news season, SNL Korea has unveiled a new poster and announced its change from a 19+ rated to 15+ rated program!

 

 

According to the show's reps on the 28th, the change in its rating is due to its move in time slot from 11 PM KST to 9:50 PM KST. As it is no longer considered a late night show, its rating had to also change to abide by regulations.

 

Since the show has been well loved for its 19+ rated skits, concern has been raised as to how the show plans on retaining viewers. A CJ E&M PR rep responded, "It is true that we have no choice but to tone down the level of sexual content... But we plan to attract the viewers with ideas unique to 'SNL'."

 

The poster shows Kim Min Kyo, Jay Park, Yoo Se Yoon, Yoo Hee Yeol, and Shin Dong Yup parodying the stages of evolution, symbolizing the evolution of their comedy to come this season.

 

'SNL Korea' will premiere on March 1 at its new time slot 9:50 PM KST!
