I've seen this discrepancy, if you can call it that, quite a few times. Not so good looking girls with a really sweet and girly voice that it's just pure bliss to listen to and engage a conversation with, and good looking girls with a hoarse voice. No matter what he looked like, if I was speaking to a French or Irish guy I'd be under his spell without him even trying. I didn't know what the guy look like prior to going on the date. So, he rang me on my home phone -yes- home phone and we talked just a couple of days before the blind date meeting and I instantly fell in 'love' with his voice. It was so manly and so soothing to the ears I could listen to him talk gibberish for hours. haha. but other factor play a part in whether you will fall for someone or not (not just based on voice alone you can't fall in love i don't think).
