so i have to do a presentation on sonnet 25, which basically is just an analyzation of the poem and indentification for 5 different literary devices... but the problem is that i cant find any devices other than personification and metaphor and i need 3 more that are different....

so i was wondering if anyone could help?

heres the sonnet

1 Let those who are in favour with their stars,
2 Of public honour and proud titles boast,
3 Whilst I, whom fortune of such triumph bars,
4 Unlook'd for joy in that I honour most.
5 Great princes' favourites their fair leaves spread
6 But as the marigold at the sun's eye;
7 And in themselves their pride lies buried,
8 For at a frown they in their glory die.
9 The painful warrior famoused for worth,
10 After a thousand victories once foil'd,
11 Is from the book of honour razed quite,
12 And all the rest forgot for which he toil'd:
13   Then happy I, that love and am beloved
14   Where I may not remove nor be removed.

i found personification of the sun's eye (although i cant really understand it or explain it) in line 6 and theres a couple of metaphors but im gonna use the book of honour in line 11

for alliteration and assonance and consonance, there must be at least 3 repeated sounds in close proximity for it to be counted

pls help me find some im desperate!

Simile in line 6, "But as the marigold"

Internal rhyme in line 13, "that love and am beloved"

Near rhyme in the final two lines. You expect beloved and removed to rhyme, but they don't.

I think rhyme scheme and poetic structure are also literary devices too.

what do people in school need to learn these days omg 0u0plz.png

If you don't get a chance to study all different aspects of subjects how would you know you want to study it in the future?

It's like English students at my uni who decide they want to do film modules, and I'm like "... you don't even understand shot terms..."
