I like IU's music, it's very calming and I like the lyrics a lot too.

I-fans don't appreciate her music because it's not upbeat and energetic,but I love the calm fun vibe her songs have.

Being objective here (even though I'm a Taeyeon stan).

 

I can see IU's album doing better digitally because her music tends to be favored in Korea.

But Taeyeon's album is definitely more appreciated internationally I think because her style is constantly evolving and changing, whereas IU's sound is very much the same and ingrained throughout all her songs. 

 

If we are talking about preference though, I definitely prefer Taeyeon's.

However, I am a Taeyeon stan but I prefer Chatshire over I as an album. Chatshire was just amazing for me. 

I think I'll have to say My Voice for this though. But really...both are great.

IU sounds like a baby with husky voice which turn me off. she barely vocalize properly and sounds whiny most of the time

Taeyeon way of singing is cool & her vocal run is clean. She also has fuller voice if you know what i mean

Her live band music with bass & drum also makes it more interesting

11:11 was written by IU's old lyricist.

I love My Voice as an album, but I prefer Palette, there's just something about IU's music that can always helps make me feel a certain feeling/calmness i don't with others

 

also IU's music is always changing, none of her albums are the same in style, from something like Real to this.

The albums are totally different and suit totally different tastes. But I personally like Taeyeon's more bc I'm a fan or louder and more upbeat tunes. That doesn't mean I can't like it I'm 25 i got this i'm truly fine

imo taeyeon album is still the best album so far from kpop album. and like she said all the composer, lyricist, staff, etc works hard for this album, thus for me make this album more special for ty and her fans. 

 

Chart and sales, iu will dominate digital chart like usual and ty already proves her physical power with the record breaking "my voice".
