is woolim finally going to put in the work that lovelyz deserves?

i must say, as a long time lovelyz fan, Wow was their BIGGEST musical disappointment imo. knowing what the girls are capable of vocally and stylistically, it just really wasn't their best. it also showed woolim's incapability as a company to be consistent in their branding of lovelyz. i just mean, how was their last album called "a new trilogy" but then the next comeback was a complete 180 visually. they didn't even try to tie it together other than borrowing destiny's melody and tempo for the chorus. there were also better songs on the r u ready album but leave it to woolim to choose their worst, least marketable song EVER as the title.

anyway, i finally saw that today a prologue was released for their repackage

and i'm extremely happy that woolim seems to have learned from a few of their previous mistakes.

1. they're going back to the  ~trilogy~  theme they started with destiny's

, returning to the concept that lovelyz does best.

2. the timing is right this time, not many artists are coming back that week from what i can recall, and those already out will be on the tail end of promos so lovelyz 1st win possibly incoming.

now all i can do is sit back and pray that lovelyz can recreate the success that was robbed from them by bad management and break out for good this time. i know i shouldn't expect too much since it's a repackage, but their first notably successful song digitally, Hi~, was also a repackage, so maybe the formula will be complete this time.

most of the music shows are being cancelled that week and the following rlytearpls.png

Music shows are cancelled for 2 weeks.

The earliest chance to get win would be 16th may on The Show.

yeah, i just realized. i still think it will work in lovelyz' benefit tho, but we'll only know in a few weeks.

A New Trilogy was amazing but their R U Ready sold much better.

it's not just about album sales tho. clearly that's not enough since the girls still haven't been paid....

They released 4 months around a year after debuting, Woollim puts in work for Lovelyz

what do you mean by this? i don't understand.

but anyway, my point is that woolim does not market or manage lovelyz well, which is true. i mean, how could they NOT capitalize on ah choo's success when it's literally a digital hit. and lovelyz is right back to square one.

Albums, don't know why I wrote months.

Bad thing about Lovelyz is that they have fans of senior groups in their own company that absolutely hate them.

I know Inspirit are angry towards Lovelyz for some reasons. Like they don't want back up Sujeong for her remarks on radio. But they are not hating us like antis. I understand why they are angry. You may says some indeed. Please don't generalize everyone.

When Lvlz make debut and keep growing fandom base, who you think supporting them? There are big share of Inspirit being Lovelinus.

About Lovelyz popularity we can blame Woollim promotional method. Why would they market Lvlz like 90s Boy Group? By releasing songs then some formal interview?

I hate when they are pushing out the release like Infinite. After Ah-Choo rising up, Woollim don't extend its promotion and releasing Lovelinus album instead. The Lovelinus can delay the release to February 2016 instead. Although For You live per. still brings many people to fandom, I always wonder what if Ah-Choo are extending its promotions.

Also i tired seeing comments like Lovelyz will go same path like Infinite later on. To begin we don't stand in same situation. Do Infinite involve in defamation scandal ? Nope!

Also I don't think Wow are bad. They use what's unique to Lovelyz itself. Beside chorus similar to Destiny, they totally differents. I think Wow are doing good like Hi~ by presenting more fresher vibe after Destiny. Moreover Wow make me curious about upcoming title track whether they will go something more experimental dimension than Destiny (Planet) & WoW (comic) ?

This really bugs me as well. Lovelyz recently ended their 2nd yr and within that same amount of time in the past Infinite had already won with Be Mine, Paradise and Chaser. Alot of ppl use Infinite slow rise as a justification for why Lovelyz hasn't won yet but it doesn't really make sense to me since they're so completely different concept and promotions wise and Woollim as a company is totally different from how they were.

I agreed. Woollim should look back at their promotional strategy. They cant put same method they way they promoted Infinite back then. Kpop nowdays has so many strong competition and new groups keep coming and debut like everytime.

I like WoW a lot though, its so refreshing and brightful to enjoy with still Lovelyz sounds. Im looking forward for their repackage album (the teaser so aesthetical and its so Lovelyz)

It doesn't make sense bc INFINITE 1st win was 1 year into debut and it was with a Hit song.. That's not what i'd call "slow rise" and that doesn't justify why Lovelyz didn't win first in almost 3 years.. Their situation in 2012/2013 was so much different from Lovelyz situation now.. I see literally no correlation tbh .. woollim fucked up, end of the story
