Your actual thoughts on the Crush album? (serious thread)

I know there's been a ton of threads lately on 2ne1 (and SNSD)

but i actually took the time to listen to 2ne1's album, because it has been awhile since they released an album

srry but i didn't bother to listen to SNSD's album because truthfully(THIS IS JUST ME) i don't listen to SM albums fully at all. Last albums i actually listened to were f(x)'s Pinocchio and SHINee's Lucifer.

1. Crush - the song overall is pretty good, but i wish CL would stop saying shit she thinks sounds cool in her head, cuz actually they come out awk as fuck on track. Like seriously she sounded to full of herself to lay out a decent rap.

2. Come Back Home - the song was sweet till that breakdown came around.

3. Gotta Be You - typical 2ne1 sound, awesome nonetheless.

4. If I were You - the beginning really got me into this song, i LOVED this track!

5. Good to You - the beat is super NICE.

6. MTBD - didn't even bother listening because i don't like CL, especially solo.

7. Happy - MY FAVE OFF THIS ALBUM. only thing that kinda ticked me was how they sounded spelling Happy, they sounded out of breath whoever that was.

8. Scream - i didn't like the Japanese version, so this is no different.

9. Baby Miss You - it was chill. nothing special.

10. Come Back Home - i probably like this more then the original.

OVERALL opinion - they had alot of softer songs this time around, i was hoping for more edgy then a softer sound but they did a really good job with showing more of their vocal side. this a good album to comeback with after like 4 years ^^ im pleasantly surprised.

Good Job 2ne1^^

also i wasn't really bothered by Bom's vocals like others might have been^^

I have only listened to Crush, Come Back Home (both versions) and I still liked " missing you" better.  That song was more emotional sounding to me compared to CBH which almost every comment I read says it makes them cry...

The composition of CBH is good but I don't think 2ne1's voices really compliments it.

Didn't like Crush, CL's solo and Scream (KOR). I was loving Come Back Home until the beat drop. Still will listen to CBH.

The other ones are amazing with my favorite being Good To You and Gotta Be You. Happy is nice but doesn't stand out.

I'm impressed with the album. I like slower songs so I'm loving it.

Haven't listened to the whole album bc I can't be bothered, I listened to Crush and Come Back Home and* If I were you.

Crush is my jam right now, even the lyrics scream fierce, they should be promoting that instead of Come Back Home

I really liked If I were you, it's a smooth song that I can just chill out to. Come Back Home was great too but when I can be bothered I'll have to have a listen to the other tracks but with what I've heard so far, I'm impressed.

I expected a lot more from 2NE1 I was kinda disappointed. Don't get me wrong there are some really good songs but theres too much dubstep and autotuned to shit voices (cough Dara) for me to like every song. I still bought it and I like a handful of the songs (CL's solo is amazing, Happy is good, Scream and Baby I miss you are also faves); it's just really poor when you compare it to their other releases. I want an album like the To Anyone album (Is that too much to ask YG?)

I didn't like a single song. They all sounded like a combination of different accidents. But 2NE1 just isn't my style — I've never liked their sound, barring Clap Your Hands and I Am The Best. Others might really like it because the record is more inline with their musical taste, but I personally hated it and would give it a 3 out of 10.

I loved the album, someone put it before that Crush was like the matured version of their first mini album and I totally agree. Musically, I feel it's their best and I saw immense growth from them as a group, the vocals were sensational, and the lyrics still maintained the fierce essence of 2NE1 but in a more refined, mature way. Also, I am so happy that one of the members finally partook in the production of the album and are delving into the artistry. This album really surpassed my expectations, as a 2NE1 fan I felt they delivered.
