I just started watched the drama like a week ago and I am absolutely hooked!!

I must say that I was pretty pissed off a lot by Yongkwang's character at first but I started to like him by the episodes. Like he is so strategically planning everything and plotting to take Yoon Seungro down that it is just amazing! And the recent scenes of him and Sooji just made me like him more lol

But I am very scared for them that now that his plan must be rushed out because Sooji is currently being chased down by the police... that the plan might not go as plotted because of all this rushing

I must say that the actor playing Siwan is doing a great job! I sense that his mother is now slightly fearful of him... I wonder what her reaction may be later on when she gets to know that he really caused Yuna to die... I am slightly afraid of the cop's daughter too, he looks at her in a way that doesn't comfort like he has plans to do soemthing to her

It is my first time seeing a drama for Siyoung and I must say she really did a great job. The role fits her so well!! It is also nice to see suhc female characters in dramas a little break away from fragile female lead characters! I assume she will rage on Dohan once she finally gets to see him face to face when he finalky decides to reveal himself as the leader.

Also, the teasers released before the drama aired, I am excited to see the scenes isn't them happing like Dohan getting shot and his chase with Sooji, I am curious on how they will occur.

I haven't seen Key acting before but a lot said that his performance in Drinking Solo was pretty good and honestly I didn't expect it to be this good! He is a natural in playing his role and I just really good! It is also different to see Kim Seulgi at a role like this when I got used to see her playing bubbly/funny roles! But I think form this episode we will get to see her smiling more! I would say that her meeting with Key at the hospital was defenitely one of the best scenes of the latest episodes

I am really curious on how the drama will progress and I truly hope the suspense will be kept until the end and will not loose its momentum because right now things are going amazing and the pace is just right!

I think I did a good job deciding to watch this haven't seen such a thriller since signal :rlytearpls:

Does anyone know who will be singing the OST that was the end of the last two episodes ?

And Ost, No.. i dont had any idea bout it lol

I have viewed him as a person that could possibly betray or through away the team whenever he feels they are threatening his 'revenge plans' and might ruin it

But after seeing how quick in action he was to give the 3 suspects to Bomi after he sensed that the team is near to discovering his identity as a prosecutor

And after seeing how worried he was for Sooji (don't know if that was because he will lose a person in his revenge plan or because of another feeling :hurr:)

After these things the thoughts of him as a possible betrayed declined a bit

His relationship with Shin Dongwook's character still remains a mystery to me though...

Damn, how I am so greatly into the show right now. And really no preview for the next episodes to come? Though I'm suspecting it is because they haven't edited the next episodes yet. But seriously, this drama is just getting better and better!

Aah. I sincerely hope that the next episodes to come, they would finally meet their leader. I mean, for me, it's much easier for them to plot their revenge against the chief prosecutor if everyone of them know their leader. They wouldn't be suspicious enough thinking that anytime their Leader would betray them. Or we just don't know what Do Han is thinking and he could betray them if they would really ruin his plans. But as far as what his actions are, he sorts of betray them to the chief prosecutor but then he has a back up plan in not to reveal themselves or at least not to reveal his plans against the chief prosecutor.

But then, him really worried for his members was sort of a way for him to show that he really cares for them. He was really worried for Bo Mi actually and keep on hinting the chief prosecutor that they should do something to stop the killer from hurting Bo Mi. And of course that moment when Do Han was worried for Soo Ji! rlytearpls.png  I do hope there is some romance that would happen between Soo Ji and Do Han. I was actually thinking in the first few episodes that it might be unlikely for it to happen but then watching the current episodes, I am now under the delusion that they could insert a love story between the two of them. I mean, I was just swooning over Do Han when he lifted Soo Ji up. ahmagahplz.png  chuplz.png

Also, I am curious as to who is the father of Yoo Na. I am thinking that he may appear in the next episodes to come and there would be some tension that would go on and a love triangle would happen between the father, Soo Ji and Do Han (though that's just me under the delusion spell again). Or they would just probably introduce him for a little bit and then I don't know anymore what they would do to him actually. Maybe he would help in solving Yoo Na's case?

  • Lookout: Episodes 13-14

Lookout13-14-01152.jpg&key=f210aa7a23cb1

  • In Lookout, trust is hard to come by. Alignments are fuzzy and intentions are murky. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some solid connections, just very few. What does that mean for our team of justice seekers when they find themselves spread thin? It means that help just might come from an unlikely, and certainly suspicious, source.

EPISODE 13 RECAP

  • Kyung-soo runs for his life from the knife-wielding attacker who murdered Bomi’s uncle and disappears from sight. He hides in the car that he broke into earlier, the owner still asleep in the back seat. When Kyung-soo finally exits the car, he leaves behind his jacket as a token of gratitude.

  • Suji figures out the location of Bomi’s apartment, but can’t get in. She rings the doorbell of a next door neighbor and flashes her badge as she rushes in. Suji explains that she’s on a case that she can’t discuss the details of and climbs out the back window. With only the narrowest of ledges to stand on, Suji slips and nearly falls before she reaches Bomi’s apartment, where she finds Bomi in the throes of a panic attack and has her breathe into a bag until she calms down.

Lookout13-14-00069.jpg

  • Suji reassures Bomi that Kyung-soo is tracking the killer. Bomi utters the killer’s name, Kang Jin-gu, the missing deliveryman, and explains that he killed her uncle in order to find her, but she doesn’t know why.

  • Kyung-soo reports on Kang from a PC room. He explains that Kang Jin-gu lives on the street, something Kyung-soo experienced once. Kang Jin-gu has no phone or address, and Kyung-soo explains that and a PC room is where you go when you can’t even afford a sauna.

What Suji wants to know is why Kang Jin-gu emerged after five years, and Kyung-soo questions why he killed Bomi’s uncle and made it look like a suicide. Suji quietly suggests to Kyung-soo that what happened to Bomi’s family wasn’t a robbery/murder after all.

Lookout13-14-00089.jpg&key=5c60b6fe513b2 Lookout13-14-00086.jpg&key=572b1353f2ada

  • Suji takes in Bomi’s room and asks if she’s lived alone all this time. Bomi answers that it’s the only place that she’s safe. Suji notices the shelves full of packaged food and asks herself, “Eating things like this?†Suji encourages Bomi to sleep and throws a blanket over her while she explains that she needs to keep up her strength to catch Kang Jin-gu.

  • Suji sees a photo of Bomi’s family nearby and becomes thoughtful, “Sometimes I wish I could forget everything, but then I feel guilty for having those thoughts.†Bomi whispers that she wants to forget, but she can’t. Because she’s the only one who survived, Bomi believes she has work that she needs to do. Soon-ae enters the Joint Investigation headquarters and comments on Do-han’s pointed glare. Jin-ki confides that Do-han has been like that for some time. What they don’t know is that Do-han is trying to figure out which of the team members is Chief Prosecutor Yoon’s informant.

Do-han recalls a suspicious phone conversation of Eun-joong’s and considers him the top contender. Meanwhile, Jin-ki answers a call from Bomi’s next door neighbor. When the team hears that someone (aka Suji) impersonated a police officer, everyone jumps into action.

Lookout13-14-00119.jpg&key=4fb590472862d

  • Disguised by silly glasses, Kyung-soo passes out promotional items, enabling him to pass a tracking device to Kang Jin-gu. When he follows him to Bomi’s uncle’s funeral, Kyung-soo asks Suji why Kang Jin-gu would mourn the man that he killed, and she suggests that Kang Jin-gu is looking for Bomi. Kyung-soo asks Suji if she thinks it’s a coincidence that Kang Jin-gu appeared once they started their investigation.

  • Bomi startles them both when she announces that the police are headed for her place. Suji instructs Bomi to destroy everything that points to her identity, but Bomi sits motionless as she becomes lost in the memories of her family’s murders and the gossip that followed. Bomi remembers running across the street in traffic to escape everyone’s hushed and accusatory whispers about her being the only survivor. When she got home, she retreated to her bedroom. (Was that the last time she was outside?) In the present, Suji packs Bomi’s personal effects, but Bomi tells Suji that she can’t go with her, admitting that she’s tormented by the memories of that night and that she’s too scared to leave her room.

With the joint team en route to Bomi’s apartment, Suji makes her way to the parking garage. She reveals her face on purpose and steals a car in front of witnesses who immediately report her to the police. Eun-joong learns that Seo Bomi is the name of the owner of the apartment that Suji broke into. He’s told that she’s been missing since her family’s murder, but before he finds out anything more, Eun-joong hears that Suji just stole a car. Suji makes sure to get caught on a traffic camera, and Soon-ae directs the police team to her last known location. Do-han welcomes the opportunity to continue to Bomi’s apartment alone so he can destroy any evidence she left behind.

Soon-ae’s team finds the stolen vehicle, but they find it empty. Suji’s already back at Bomi’s apartment and calls to let her know that the diversion bought them some time. The thought of leaving the apartment plunges Bomi back into the memories of that horrible night, but she’s roused when her monitors show Suji headed straight for the detectives now stationed in front of her door.

Lookout13-14-00287.jpg Lookout13-14-00294.jpg

Eun-joong greets Suji when she approaches Bomi’s door, “It’s been a long time, Detective Jo.†He tells her that he knew her actions were a distraction and that she’d return for the person in that apartment. Suji tells Eun-joong, “You’re still the same,†and he replies, “Please stop carrying a gun and going after criminals.†Eun-joong explains that he intends to reopen Yoo-na’s case, but Suji thinks it’s useless with Yoon in power.

Lookout: Episodes 15-16

Lookout-16-00588.jpg

  • I’m starting to think that the name Lookout is not just a catchy title, but also serves as a warning. In every episode, this show manages to solve one mystery, put someone in danger, make my heart flutter, and end with a new reason for me to tune in again next time. It’s quite the ride, and maybe I should have heeded the warning before boarding… Too late now, I wants moooore!

EPISODE 15 RECAP

Lookout-15-00024.jpg

Flashing back to Suji’s collapse after being shot, we see Do-han run up to her prone form. He lifts her in his arms and urges her, “Wake up. You can’t die here.†In the present, Suji gasps awake in a hospital bed. (Wait, so, does she know?!)

Suji tries to sit up, and her movements rouse Bomi, who had fallen asleep next to the bed. Bomi immediately worries that she shouldn’t be moving since she just had surgery, but Suji just wants to know what happened. Proudly, Bomi says that she rescued her. Shocked but happy to hear that Bomi was able to go out on her own, Suji asks if she’s doing all right in the outside world. Bomi says that Kyung-soo helped her, add that she followed his voice. (Aww.) Bomi admits that they lost her family’s killer, Kang Jin-gu, and Suji starts to blame herself. But Bomi cuts in to say that because of her, she was able to leave her house, giving her a sweet smile.

Kyung-soo arrives at the hospital, and Bomi directs him to meet her on their floor. She finds him by the elevators and waits as he heads towards her, makes eye contact, and then walks right past to enthusiastically greet another woman (who’s a bit plumper and homely), assuming that she is Bomi. Pffft!

Lookout-15-00135.jpg

Kyung-soo happily congratulates “Bomi†for getting here all by herself, but the startled woman is confused, and he rapidly backpedals. He goes back to the elevators, passing the real Bomi again, and walks up to an ajumma, cheerfully calling her Bomi. This is amazing. Can he just keep doing this forever?

Bomi watches incredulously as Kyung-soo strikes out with his second “Bomi†attempt. She finally has to give him literal step-by-step directions until he’s standing right in front of her. Even then, he keeps looking around as she stares directly at him. Oh, you adorable dummy, you.

Lookout-15-00222.jpg Lookout-15-00218.jpg

Eventually it clicks, and Kyung-soo smiles the cutest little grin, marveling that she’s not at all how he imagined. Bomi snaps at that, but he sweetly adds, “You’re beautiful beyond imagination.†He then eagerly reaches out for a handshake, chirping that it’s nice to meet her, while Bomi just stares mutely in shock.

Suji is up and fully dressed when the priest comes in to visit, bringing medicine. Apparently he works at this hospital and he assures her she’s safe here, but Suji is more curious about how he knew to come help her. Ah, it looks like the priest was the one who picked up Suji and Bomi, and he sticks to the story that he was just passing by at the right time.

Lookout-15-00239.jpg Lookout-15-00245.jpg

Scoffing at his obvious fib, Suji guesses that it was the boss who asked the priest to help and grits out, “He put us in danger, then saved us.†She admits that she has no idea what the master plan is, but she knows for certain that the boss is using them to do something dangerous.

The priest’s voice takes on a darker tone as he admits, “We aren’t that different from you. We, like you, went through something. To overcome those restraints, we took action.†Then he wishes her a speedy recovery and heads out. Suji calls out to ask if the boss is someone she knows, and he answers with a cryptic, “I doubt it,†adding that it’s best that she never meet him.

Lookout-15-00295.jpg Lookout-15-00298.jpg

Lawyer Oh gets tricked into a dinner meeting with Assemblywoman Chae. She offers to help him get into the National Assembly in return for his testifying at Yoon’s upcoming attorney general election hearing, but Lawyer Oh refuses the bait. He smoothly lies that he’s not interested in politics, and beats a hasty retreat.

Disappointed, Assemblywoman Chae calls Do-han to tell him that his information is wrong, and that Lawyer Oh has not turned against the chief prosecutor. Do-han, who is on a nearby rooftop with a camera, replies, “I didn’t say he had. I said he would soon.†He says that they have a relationship based on mutual leverage, but if there’s a break in their trust, they’ll each kill the other to save themselves.

Assemblywoman Chae is intrigued, asking who he really is, but Do-han keeps his identity secret and calls himself “a citizen who loves to report injustice.†He hangs up and smiles at the pictures he took of Chae meeting with Lawyer Oh.

Lookout-15-00316.jpg Lookout-15-00317.jpg

Leaving the hospital, Kyung-soo helps Suji to the car. Bomi follows them out, but she freezes to hear the sirens of an arriving ambulance. Kyung-soo adorably nags at Suji for checking out early, but then he realizes that Bomi is missing and sprints back to the hospital.

He finds her crouched in a corner, her hands covering her ears. Stooping in front of her, Kyung-soo sweetly asks, “Did I walk too fast?†Bomi looks up at him and he holds out a hand, saying, “I don’t want to lose you again.†(*Melt.*) Tentatively, Bomi grasps his hand and he promises, “From now on, we can hold hands and go wherever you want.†Smiling the cutest smile, he gently pulls her with him, and they the hospital together.

In the car, Bomi looks a little uncomfortable when Kyung-soo announces that they’re going back to his place. Suji reasons that with Bomi’s apartment compromised, it’s safest for them all to stay together, so Bomi agrees to stay for a little while, prompting Kyung-soo to say, “You can stay there forever.†Then he grins and steps on the gas. Guh! Too cute. I can’t even handle it.

Team Dramabeans: What we’re watching??!

  • It feels like we’re into the thick of this “season†of shows, which feels more like a traditional season than usual because so many things premiered at the same time. So now’s a good time to take stock and figure out what’s making the cut and what’s starting to drop off the watch list. Or is everyone being stubborn and clinging to sleepless nights and drama marathons? â€“javabeans

javabeans

  • Lookout: Aw, the Lookouts are becoming a family! The fact that it’s mostly reluctant makes it more satisfying, too, since it feels like their caring for each other is grudging but inescapable. I’m surprised to find myself liking asshole Do-han as much as I do, although it’s not so much that I like him being an asshole as it is that I appreciate that this drama is allowing him to be so unlikable, and for a lot longer than a lot of dramas are willing to do. I also dig how deep he is into his act, like when he was dying to help Suji, but not at the cost of his own cover. I’m definitely looking forward to the full reveal when everyone finds out, but till then, it’s an enjoyable tension.

girlfriday

  • Lookout: I’m pretty pumped about all the good guys closing in on each other’s identities. And Key and Kim Seul-gi’s first in-person encounter was one of the cutest little things I’d seen all week. It was so comical how he kept walking past her and mistaking other women for her, but then when he said so plainly that she was prettier than he’d ever imagined, I was screaming, “Date him!â€

HeadsNo2

  • Lookout: Maybe Kim Young-kwang is just too good at being duplicitous, but his character just isn’t doing him any favors. I know he’s really the good guy underneath it all and is running the long con, but he’s featured so little that it’s almost as though he’s not even the lead. Which I guess I can’t say is much of a complaint.

MBC’s “Lookout†will be getting more exciting in the coming episodes!

Newly revealed preview stills indicate that the Lookout team will be receiving a new mission from their boss.

Spoiler alert
In episodes 15 and 16, the members of the Lookout team finally joined together in one physical space, instead of the virtual space they were normally connected by.

In the new episodes, they will receive a new mission that is related to Gong Kyung Soo’s (SHINee’s Key’s) mother, whom he had been desperately searching for. So far, all that has been revealed about Gong Kyung Soo’s past is that there is someone he has to find, and it was implied that the person he is searching for is his mother. He stated in a conversation with Seo Bo Mi (Kim Seul Gi) that in the past, he was ashamed of his mother and was afraid to show her to his friends. It was only after she was gone that he became regretful of his past actions.

Meanwhile, “Lookout†is an action-thriller drama starring Lee Si Young, Kim Young Kwang, and more. Watch episodes 17 and 18 on June 19 KST to find out more about Gong Kyung Soo’s past!
