masakio 6,815
Koreans weren't lenient with Chinese idols before. Hangeng had to perform with a mask on stage during sj's debut days.

Your fave compaies keep enlisting foreign idols because your supposedly superior country's market is too damn small to accomodate the kind of money they want to make. Kpop idols make peanuts in Korea so they enlist foreign idols to give those grousp access to those more lucrative markets. Why do you think EXO are million sellers if not for their Chinese fanbase? Why do you think Twice is doing well in Japan if not for their foreign line? Yall can't admit that Kpop would be nothing with the foreigners they employ and try to sell to. Yall can't admit that Kpop would be nothing with the foreigners they employ and try to sell to. let's not exaggerate now. kpop has been doing just fine without foreigners - groups like dbsk, big bang, soshi or bts were and are doing well internationally without foreign members. i wish oh users would stop attacking and being xenophobic towards koreans. you can protect and ackowledge international members' influence without dimishing korean members' effort. Angel_Nessa 11,378
Well Chinese idols helped many groups to gather more attention on C-market, they were the ones hard carrying the C-variety shows, and thanks to it many Korean entertainment companies and Korean members got a lot of money. So let's be a little thankful to C-idols bc b4 the western hallyu wave, it was from where the biggest money came.

Eloiny 1,563
The entire world is against China's imperialism. I agree with the knetz here. Chinese people that live abroad should know better. Agree, people here are downplaying what it means when idols support the the South China Sea. China has been harassing South Korea and other Nations for years. Supporting this and still expecting to get support and make money in South Korea is honestly pretty shameless. How would all of you here feel if idols would support a movement that was attacking your country?
tya 2,675
Ironic how some people on OH like to call out on xenophobic comments but unintentionally make one themselves when it comes to Knetz and Korea Remember that what you see online does not represent the whole country
