Who is the strongest singer out of MAMAMOO?

It depends what you're looking for, really. Solar is good at being a main vocal, she covers bits that the others can't. Wheein has a bit of a stronger middle range and can easily swap choruses with Solar. Hwasa has the most inconsistent range, but she has a nice vocal tone.

It's like the difference between a Soprano 1 (Wheein), Soprano 2 (Solar) and an Alto 1 (Hwasa). It depends on what you want sung.

Solar has a big broad voice so if you want something that sounds really powerful and impactful you go with her.

Wheein has a lighter touch, so a lot of time she gets high harmonies because you don't need that much power to be heard if you're singing high enough.

Hwasa can sing extremely high notes (all the whistle notes in Mamamoo songs are her and whew just watch her in moosical because she can sing that high with ease) but she sounds the best in midrange and she doesn't do a lot of the d5-g5 belting the other two do cause she can't bring as much power up there.

Wheein is more versatile I think. Her melisma is ridiculous and her ear is good--she rarely goes flat unlike Solar at times.

I think overall Wheein is the best. But all of them are pretty similar tbh. Wheein has such a pure versatile voice, is technically the best and is pretty consistent. Solar has a raw powerful voice but there can be times where she gets pitchy in the high notes, but in the group she makes it solid. I personally love Hwasa's voice the most though. Her tone is so beautiful. The last "you're beautiful" line when she sang Diamonds at Moosical gave me super chills [emoji92]

tbh wheein is the best in mmm cause her voice is stable. solar she can hit high note but sometimes she sounds a bit force while hwasa shes mostly low and middle range...but it depends on a person taste...i like hwasas voice coz it is soo unique and her emotion she put when she sang something is soo amazing

Wheein has a wider range and the best singer technically. I find Solar's range to be a bit smaller, but her range is higher than Wheein's, which is why she gets so many high notes. She also has a slight tendency to go off-key, but she still slays on stage. Hwasa is behind those two, but is still pretty solid as a vocalist. I do worry sometimes about her style because of raspy she makes her voice, but at the same time there's a reason why she's my bias. Moonbyul comes last, but is still a very decent singer who is more responsible for the lower parts in their harmonizations. She did originally train to be a vocalist, I think. smile.png

Edit: By "off-key", I think I meant "strain." I am too tired right now...

Hwasa is a chesty soprano, not an Alto (A choir type)
