I'm searching something like that too, I'm tired of the high school themed shows, but I still want to watch a funny and warm drama for young people.

I really love Hanzawa Naoki, it's a business drama with some over the top acting which was hella good there + some really good tension in the long run. It's about economic/bank & it was a mega hit in Japan too. Another business drama I love is Juhan Shuttai!, it's about the editorial world in manga and it was really fresh & touching ^^

From Five to Nine was a really good comedic romantic drama with really pretty leads :D

I haven't started watching dramas this year so I'm just gonna recommend from 2016 and before

Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto (2016) - this is really sweet. about a girl patissier who lost her job and is given a chance to work at her first love's restaurant on the seaside

Jimi ni Sugoi (2016) - this is one of the newer ones I've watched. it's a really interesting drama about the proofreading department of a publishing company (yes there are also romance)

Juhan Shuttai! (2016) - this isn't romance but completely good watch as well! again it's about a publishing company but focusing on the editors side. we see how hard the editors are doing in order to make the books they're in charge of to be a hit that needs to be restock ^^

Tokyo Bandwagon (2014) - the story centers around a bookstore own by a family and a lot of stories surrounding the family members are told. It's really heartwarming for me ^^

Flowers for Algernon (2015) - okay so this is not comedy and not really slice of life but very heartwarming T^T it centers around a boy who has idiot syndrome, given a chance to make his brain work like normal people

extra

Ando Lloyd (2013) - it's not slice of life since it involves cyborgs from the future but it's sooo interesting so I'd recommend you to pick it up if you haven't already

turns out I don't have a lot of drama that falls in your category.. I have a lot of school themed and adult themed dramas but for young adults there aren't a lot of choices orz
