Jeffrey Jung 19,680
The new Mickey Mouse series will feature 19 cartoon shorts that will begin airing June 28. He looks pretty darn good for an 85-year-old rodent. Mickey Mouse is returning to his roots in cartoon shorts, the kind that were once a staple for Disney but haven't been made since 1953. Over the years there have been about a dozen different versions of the iconic cartoon character and with the exception of a theatrical short in 1995, some direct-to-video movies, a handful of shows geared towards pre-schoolers, in recent times, for grownups Mickey morphed into more of a corporate logo than an entertainer. Until now. In the new cartoons, Mickey will havea retro look far closer to his original design, the one created in 1928 by Walt Disney himself, but he'll be appearing in contemporary settings including Santa Monica, New York, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, Venice and the Alps. As opposed to basic learning skills, the current version of Mickey teaches pre-schoolers on “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,†retro Mickey is expected to careen through silly situations and an escalation of physical and visual gags. The stories will also feature his longtime pals, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. The first of 19 Mickey cartoons will debut on the Disney Channel in late June. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv-movies/mickey-mouse-new-retro-disney-channel-article-1.1286123#ixzz2UkNxnJL8

blank_stare 2,217
I just hope there are no more discriminating, racist, and derogative topics that they put in the new ones like they did in the 1950s

Girls'Generation 88
Because they'd fuck those up just as much as they will with these Mickey Mouse cartoons. oh i don't mean new episodes, just like re-runs. kind of like how nick has 90s night and hanna barbera boomerang it's not like those people (raven, hilary, etc) would agree to do it anyway lol if we're talking new episodes. i want some of those back on air. i had enough of all the recent crap on there tbh. new disney shows frustrate me so much, i just have to remind myself that it's for kids. i'm about to be 18 after all, they're not catering to my age group anymore -_-
