Hi!!

My name is Carol {but my name on the internet is Krol or CarolTheKrol} and I'm pretty lost rn because I'm pretty new to 'OneHallyu' {I literally joined today} and I have some questions about how all of this works:

 

–Question n°1–

 

Since I only use my mobile phone for everything {except for hard homework and other stuff} I downloaded the app of 'OneHallyu' instead of going to the website via computer. What do I want to say about this? I've been lurking for a few minutes and I'm seeing a lot of emojis {I think that they are emojis, if so I'm way more lost} that are written between ':' and I can't see them. Is there a way to see those? And also, is there a problem if I only use the typical emojis instead of the written ones?

 

– Question n°2 –

 

What is this thing about awards of being a fan of a certain artist or group? How can I get these type of awards? And what do I earn when I get these awards? .______.

 

– Question n°3 –

 

How do I edit my profile? If someone knows how to do it via phone BLESS YOU IN ADVANCE but if I can only edit {if I can obv} via computer is okey.

 

– Question n°4 –

 

Maybe I'm wrong but is there a way to chat on here? Or it is a no no? // I ask this because if I'm not wrong I saw an option to chat when I was in my computer lurking {yes, instead of working I was lurking in 'OneHallyu' ik I'm not the only one tho aheh}//

I'm sorry if I bothered anyone by these questions, I'm not someone who gets the ideas and how things work by ikea guides so I thought that it could help me and other newbies to understand 'OhHallyu' by doing this post/thingy.

 

If you want to talk to me {idk let's imagine that someone is magically interested in a random stan of kpop groups and k-r&b artists ... Aheh} you can do it via 'Kpop Amino', my user name in 'Kpop Amino' is 'Krol' ^u^!

 

If you read all of this, plz reply to the easy peasy questions I've done, you'll make my day if you did so!!

 

P.S– I'm sorry if there was some grammar mistakes, I'm still learning the language. Btw I'm European aheh.

welcome to OH! u get awards by requesting after making 100, 200, 300, 400 posts. They just appear to the left under ur dp. You can edit your profile on your mobile but I find it a lot easier on the computer. And yes you can chat on both mobile and desktop

2) as someone mentioned above, you get an award at 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 posts, then every 250 posts after that

3) you can only edit it via the desktop version, but if you google onehallyu and scroll to the bottom of the page, there's an option that lets you view the computer version through your phone

4) you can PM users privately, yeah!

dunno about the phone questions but to get any award, you needto reach 100 post to get one badge and everytime you make another 100 you can request one (limit is 4 so 400posts~) and you need to know that posts on the random section dont count~

Hey there, welcome to OH!

  1.  I've never used the OH app but I've used OH on my phone from last May till this January so it's possible to edit your profile, post pictures, gifs etc from your phone. My advice is to use Google Chrome and don't use the mobile version of the site but the full one- at the bottom of the page you can find the option~ then you can upload pics and gifs on Imgur, copy the BB code and then paste it and it will show. You don't need a laptop for that, really.
  2. You can request your first award at 100 posts (posts and threads in the Random section don't count) then at 200 - 300 - 400 - 500. After that you can request every 250 posts and not 100 :") (so 750 - 1000 - 1250 etcetc) . There's a limit for the badges you can have, I think it's 50 (?) but you have a long way to go lel
  3. You should use your laptop or the full version on mobile like I've already told you. Click on you name > Edit my profile > Profile settings (you can change your about me page) - Profile Customization (there you can change the background) and so on. If you wanna post a YouTube video on your profile you have to copy and then paste only the part after the = . Otherwise it won't work. Don't copy the link from the YouTube app (if you do it from mobile) go on the site and copy the link from there.
  4. There isn't a chat but you can PM users here :")

I see that your questions have already been answered and if there are more things that you want to know how they work, I recommend this thread to you: "I wish I knew this when I joined OH"

it was incredibly helpful for me when I first started here and although it's not mainly about the mobile version of OH, it answers many questions :D
