She is kinda awkward and she is not energetic at all

 

Remind me of PD 101 S2 trainees who are not energetic at all but become so popular because of their face

 

I prefer the ones who are full of energy and I don't find her that energetic

I'm wondering how the team ranking affects the elimination 

there is a promotion voucher thing that was introduced in episode 3. the group with the best score gets one:

 

not too sure on the specifics of it...but it seems like it's a voucher used to save an idol from elimination (at least it would be best used this way)

Thanks.So regardless of individual votes/score like saerom team..if they win the 1st evaluation performance,each one will receive a voucher

alright i think i got more clarification on the voucher thing.

 

so each member on the winning team will get a voucher it seems. you can use the voucher to move someone up a spot (dont know if it's before or after your ranks are announced)

 

it seems people on the korean boards say you can stack them... so say for instance.. dahee (who is currently 40th) is given all 8, she will not be eliminated this week.

 

not 100% sure and i dont think everyone is for sure how it'll work. hopefully we'll get more explanation of this in 2 days.

Damn that sucks, I really love Snowbaby and she was only 1 spot away from safety. But at least All the eliminated girls could still stick around for the show

I'm so happy that mgt really showcased dahee to the world. She will now get a chance to perform with her bff jisun for Tinkerbell!!

 

Still can't believe the 99. She really came and slayed with her performance. I have to rewatch it since I had to leave after and didn't get a chance to see her celebration. And moving up 7 spots is amazing...she caught having that performance at just the right time. Usually girls have less time breaking out as you get closer to the finals.

The only group I didn't see was cheer up..and from the fancam...they looked solid.cuz they have solid members. I actually thought the rookie team was pretty good... I was shocked to learn whistle won because I thought that that was the weakest performance...but damn haein Saerom and seoyeon.. those are top 9 girls...

 

Also wanted to say nayeon has really grown on me....she killed it for her rookie stage...

 

So glad to see all of jisuns friends make it through the first round of eliminations: dahee, nayeon, and Jenny.

person from discord translated an article about the other girls who stay but didn't debut. they will remain and be a part of like "idol school world" where they will have a graduation system... every so often, the show will run again (season 2?) and those girls will be a part of that program...

 

of course that sounds like a terrible idea.

no confirmation yet, and i really hope it's not true. cause those songs won't do much to showcase talent. 

 

tbh i can really see jisun breaking into the top 9 if she continues to do well and mnet gives her good screentime

do note that the rankings take into account last weeks votes... when jisun was still rank 20th at the halfway point of episode 3 (and pretty sure around that number at the end of episode). if we only consider the scores posted in this episode alone, she would rank a little higher.

Yeah, the producers don't seem to have a clear vision for the show's future. The whole system is messy and complicated. I'm considering dropping it because of that and the fact that the lives are not live, but pre-recorded, so we can't really tell the girls' skills. Also, the fact that the show doesn't have a great vocalist is bothering me a little.

I would say that they probably laid out all these rule changes beforehand to create buzz or plot twists...but they are poorly executed since this has too much of an innocent school feel with many young girls involved. The twists would work better in a show like the one they have lined up for the future: the 500 rejected idol or whatever it's called.

 

Jiwon is currently the best vocalist in the top 9. I would say judging by today's K-pop standards... Vocals aren't the most important aspect to success...it's the girls likeability and the songs the group releases. I don't even think dancing is that important anymore.

 

But they have good enough vocals...chae is decent..seoyeon is above avg..

im starting to like jisun's friends ^^. nayoung and dahee starting to look very likeable now ^^.

 

I only notice Jisun just now after watching the episode, she is a good contestant and hopefully will make it to the group.

 

Let me just check her skill evaluation for a minute...

They are quite talented indeed. But knetz no care about talents, look at #1 this week.

just tells ya that if you get more screen time, you will get more love. sad that not everyone can get a lot of screen time... jisun just had to showcase her skills to get attention...

 

she was 11th overall. most of these girls aren't ready to debut... that's why it's called idol school. 

 

pretty sure they will be evaluated again near the end of the program and you'll see a jump in points for each girl. i think they'll showcase jiheon's jump to prove that the school works

 

It's just too complicated, imo. The show was supposed to pick nine girls to debut in one group, but now there's the talk about a second group. The show has a elimination system, but the eliminated girls still can debut in the second group and stay in the show. I'm kinda frustrated with how I don't know what to expect of the show.

 

Yeah, I get that kpop isn't about vocals, but they don't have even 1 great vocalist. Not even 1 among 40 girls? That's disappointing. I know that some of the girls are good, but they aren't really great. I just wish there was someone who awed me with great vocals. That's a really minor complaint, though. My main complaint is how confusing the system is.

 

 

 

Yeah, I know that there's no garantee that they can debut in the second group, but the existence of a second group makes it look like getting into the first is not as urgent, you know?

mnet obviously didn't show all the girls...and i had a curious look when natty got "perfect" when she looked like she was a bit straining during her vocal evaluation... there's vocalists in the group...probably not power vocals, but good enough to eventually debut with some help with vocal trainers. 

 

like that whistle stage... that male teacher tried very hard to get saerom to sing better.

 

Someone already mentioned it here but it bears repeating :

 

Tasha's group (Cheer Up) is remarkable since NO ONE in the group was eliminated.

 

I'm not claiming that all the credit is due to Tasha ( other reasons include the already high skill and popularity of her members, other leaders in her group stepping up etc) but note that the Avengers' team of Whistle still lost members to elimination.

 

I think the key marker in assessing the teamwork/leadership of a group is by looking at the weakest member : If the team can raise up the level of the weakest member such that all can pass, then I think the team is a success.

 

I suspect Tasha may make a great group leader if given the chance.

from what mnet showed....sky was the leader through and through... she looked like a seasoned coach...

about Spoiler for 2nd evaluation i lowkey belive that , still confused why eliminated girl still go to 2nd evaluation...  which means they're only 

seeing that jessica and snowbaby are now in normal clothing and can post on social media now...makes me believe they just got transferred to another school....but it won't be shown until a few episodes out...until 2nd evaluations

 

for the next evaluation...i'm guessing there's 5 songs. there will be team leaders chosen to 1v1 each other for the choice of song.

 

like in pd101, there will be a rearrangement. girls who have members who left will add members from other teams so that each group has 8 members.
