liǎng gè rì zi de jiāo jiè qì fēn bǐ jiào mí huàn
wǎn shàng xǐng zhe zǎo shàng shuì wǒ bǐ jiào xí guàn
méi yǒu mù dì de yè chē xū yào péi bàn
zài yīn yuè hé kā fēi tián bù mǎn de yè wǎn
At the intersection between two days, the atmosphere is rather psychedelic.
I'm relatively accustomed to staying awake at night and going to sleep in the morning.
[Aboard] the aimless night bus, [I] need some company
On this night that music and coffee have fallen short of filling up.
xuàn rǎn zhe guāng
gōng zuò shì méi yǒu jìn zhǎn de huāng
shǒu bǎ huá shǔ jǐn wò bù fàng
shàng xià gǔn dòng de zhàng hào shì guò mù bù wàng
Basking in the light [from my monitor],
The work [I have to get done] leaves [me] panicking from the lack of progress.
[I] tightly grasp the mouse without letting go;
The accounts that [I] scroll past, up and down, are things I commit to memory after seeing them only once.
yě yǒu shú de yě yǒu mò shēng rén
nǐ zhuàng tài xiàng shì zài shuō hèn
wǒ tǔ shé shuō “zěn me?” / nǐ shuō “bié duō wèn”
wǒ shuō “zhēn de hěn shēng qì bù rán qù pō fèn”
zhè zhǐ shì diū chū yī gè gěng bù suàn tài guò fèn
There are familiar [names] and there are strangers.
Your status seems to speak of hate.
I poke out my tongue and say: "What's wrong?" You say: "Don't ask."
I say: "[So you're] actually riled up? Why don't you go throw some shit [in their faces]?"
This is just [me] playing with [you] a little, nothing over the top.
你说“蛋医师你好” / 我戴起眼镜说“你好”
nǐ shuō “kào yāo! shì xiǎng tīng bào liào ba? “
wǒ shuō “bù fáng shuō chū lái dāng zhì liáo”
nǐ shuō “dàn yīshī nǐ hǎo” / wǒ dài qǐ yǎn jìng shuō “nǐ hǎo”
zhè shì wǒmen dì èr cì liáo
You say: "[You] dumbass! You just want to hear some shocking revelations, don't you?"
I say: "Why don't you talk about it and think of it as therapy?"
You say: "Hello Dr. Soft Lipa." I put on my glasses and say: "Hello."
This is our second time chatting.
yī gè rén de yè wǎn shéi hé shéi péi bàn
kàn dào tā yě zài jiù yǒu ān quán gǎn
liǎng gè rén de yè wǎn duì bái dōu zài yíng mù hé jiàn pán
ài mèi de hěn jiǎn dān
On a night [that I'm spending] alone, who and who keep each other company?
When [I] see that she's here too, [I] feel a sense of security.
The nighttime conversations between [us] two all happen through computer screens and keyboards.
It's a simple sort of ambiguous relationship.
jiǎng dào zì jǐ wǒ men jiǎng gù shì
liáo dào zhǎo fáng zi wǒ men liáo bù zhì
wǒ shuō wǒ yǒu diǎn zào yù nǐ shuō nǐ yě shì
méi rén tīng nǐ shuō de wù huì wǒ tīng nǐ jiěshì
When we get to talking about ourselves, we tell stories.
When we get to chatting about looking for houses, we chat about furnishing and decor.
I say I'm a bit bipolar. You say you are too.
I listen to your explanations of the misunderstandings that nobody [else] would listen to.
wǒ shuō “zhè shì shén me?” / nǐ shuō “shì hǎo tīng de gē”
nǐ shuō “shōu jiù duì le! zhè gè yuè tuán wǒ tuī jiàn!”
wǒ shuō “nà xiǎng bù xiǎng kàn lǐ ān dì xīn piàn?”
“ō duì nǐ yǒu méi yǒu qù chūn nà ne jīn nián?”
I say: "What is this [that you've sent me]?" You say: "It's a good song."
You say: "Just click accept! I recommend this band!"
I say: "Do you want to watch Ang Lee's new movie?"
"Oh right, did you attend Spring Scream this year?"
sì diǎn zhī hòu yǒu diǎn è
zài tiān liàng zhī qián wǒ jiǎng huà yǒu diǎn sè
dàn sè de yǒu diǎn yǒu shí hù kāi wán xiào shì tàn dǐ xiàn
yǒu shí bǎ àn shì cáng zài wèn tí lǐ miàn
After 4AM [I get] a bit hungry.
Before the sun rises, the way I speak is a bit lewd.
But lewd in a way that sometimes [we're] joking with each other and probing how far we can take it,
Other times [we're] hiding indirect suggestions inside the questions [that we ask each other].
liáo dào jī qíng guò hòu dòng wù huì gǎn shāng
wǒ shuō “jī qíng guò hòu” wǒ shuō “zhāng qīng fāng”
“suǒ yǐ zhè me ài zuò wǒ men shì shāng xīn bāng!”
nǐ shuō “shāng shēn bāng ba! ài guò cái shāng xīn bāng” hā
We get to the subject of how after the passion passes, animals tend to feel sad.
I say: "After the passion passes." I say: "Stella Cheung."
"So since we [humans] enjoy sex so much we are the Damaged Heart Gang!"
You say: "More like Damaged Health Gang! Only after having loved does one become [a part of] Damaged Heart Gang." Ha!
hěn duō shì shì hé yè wǎn / bù néng zǎo qǐ liáo
nǐ shuō bù guǎn shén me dōu kě yǐ zhǎo nǐ liáo
dāng wǒ shuō wǒ zài chī yè xiāo nǐ shuō nǐ yě yào
dāng sā jiāo chéng le zhì yuē jiù méi jiě yào
A lot of things are suited for the night; [you] can't talk about them once [you] get up in the morning.
You say that no matter what it is I can chat with you about it.
When I say I'm eating a late night snack, you say you want some too.
When coquetry turns into a rule, there is no longer any antidote.
yǒu shí hòu hǎo gěi xiǎo / jí shǐ gé tiān yào zǎo qǐ
zài nǎo lǐ shī le pán suàn hái shì yào zhǎo nǐ
táo bì zhe duànle liánxì de gè zhǒng kěnéng
shuō dàodǐ chǎnshēngle yīlài què méiyǒu zérèn
huàs huō de shēnqíng liúlù de zhēn
Sometimes it's rather funny. Even if [I] have to get up early the next day,
[And] I've lost track of the plans inside my head, I still have to talk to you.
[I'm] running away from various possibilities of losing contact with you.
The truth of the matter is, I've come to be reliant [on you] but there is no sense of obligation [between us].
[We] speak deeply and intimately and [we] lay bare [our] real feelings.
yǒu shí “hā hā” shì jiǎ de yǎn shì zhe gàn
yīn wèi pà méi yǒu huí yīng suǒ yǐ màn màn de shì tàn
zhēng biàn zhe jià zhí guān fēn xiǎng zhe zì zhuàn
fēn xiǎng zhe méi yǒu shēng xiǎng de ní nán
yě kāishǐ jiāodài duìfāng yào chīfàn
Sometimes [our] laughter is fake [and] it hides [our] awkwardness.
Out of fear of getting no response, [we] slowly probe and feel things out.
Arguing over values, sharing with each other our own lives,
Sharing inaudible whispers,
And also beginning to tell the other person to make sure to eat.
yīn wèi xiāng tóng jīng lì ér jué de mò qì duì
suǒ yǐ bǎ wò měi cì xiàng pà zài méi jī huì
Because of [our] similar experiences, [we share] a sense of tacit understanding. That's right.
That's why [we] hold on to every [occasion] as if afraid that [we] won't get another chance.
Repeat * x2
你说“别太想我” 我说“I won't cry”
你说“月亮太阳” 我说“Night！ ”
kàn dào nǐ shí fēn zhōng qián de xiào liǎn wǒ shuō “Hi”
nǐ shuō “gāng gāng qù nǎ?” / wǒ shuō “wǒ dū zài”
nǐ shuō “zài gàn ma? ” / wǒ shuō “zài tōu cài”
nǐ shuō “xiān xǐ gè zǎo” / wǒ shuō “bài tuō kuài”
nǐ shuō “yào shuì le yǎn jīng zhēng bù kāi......”
nǐ shuō “bié tài xiǎng wǒ” / wǒ shuō “I won't cry”
nǐ shuō “yuè liàng tài yáng” / wǒ shuō “Night!”
nǐ gǎi le zhuàng tài hǎo xiàng zài shuō ài
Seeing your smiling face from ten minutes ago I say: "Hi."
You say: "Where did you go just now?" I say: "I've been here all along."
You say: "What have you been doing?" I say: "Stealing crops."
You say: "I'm going to take a shower." I say: "Please, be quick."
You say: "I'm sleepy, can't keep my eyes open......"
You say: "Don't miss me too much." I say: "I won't cry."
You say: "The moon the sun." I say: "Night!"
You've changed your status and it seems to speak of love.
状态/status refers to the emoticon or the line of description present in instant messaging services through which you can express how you're feeling at the moment.
Ambiguous as in romantically ambiguous; feelings of liking/loving, maybe, but nothing explicit.
春吶 is short for 春天吶喊, or Spring Scream. It is a large-scale Taiwanese music festival.
It is a play on words. 张清芳 (Stella Cheung) is a famous Taiwanese singer from the 1980s who is well known for, among other things, her 1985 album and title track "激情过后", which translates to "after the passion passes".
 自传 is literally "autobiography".
This references "Happy Farm", a popular online farming game where players can operate their own farms, plant crops, water and fertilize them...and also steal other people's crops.
