I thought F(X) already debuted in Japan last year ....?

I can't keep up. f(x)ans swear up and down that Hot Summer wasn't their debut because they didn't release a physical single (the real reason is that it didn't set the download charts alight so we're rewriting history at this point tbh). Also see SCONES and The Boys US debut argument.

They released Hot Summer as a download free single and never promoted it anywhere. I think they performed it once at SMTOWN Tokyo without Sulli but it's not even a performance worth watching tbh...

It was just a free digital single. Hot Summer, that is.

Their official debut was suppose to be close to the end of 2012, but SM kept pushing the debuting date back (beginning of 2013, then back again to a uncertain date) since the whole Japan anti-Korea protesting thing SM probably didn't want to risk debuting them. Who really knows with SM.

does it really matter if they flop in japan, i mean a bunch already have

i dont think koreans really care if they do and its not like they'll spend months promoting there, only like maybe  2 weeks

might as well try

i think b1a4/boyfriend debut in japan late and they are doing pretty well, no?

LOL

Care to explain how are you supposed to "set the download charts alight" when the single is free ?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the "The Boys" album up for sale making it a different situation from f(x)'s ?
