OMG. I love this pairing. BaekTao is so cute and I love how Baek always tease Tao sometimes Baek crosses the line but still always pay attention to him as he is his hyung.

Anyways, interesting that some people didn't know Baek and Tao were so close. I always find it weird when some people in the fandom (in general) have questioned their friendship or how close they are, Tao seems to be Baek's favorite maknae...he doesn't pay nearly as much attention to most other members as much as he does Tao.

 

In terms of how people tend to get annoyed Baek about the teasing, honestly I've found that some people in the fandom are just either extremely sensitive or don't really understand sarcasm well because what Baek does to Tao is totally normal. Almost every close friendship I've been apart of or have witnessed has alot of teasing and sarcasm involved, I myself am extremely sarcastic in real life and the things I say would probably make me seem like an utter bitch if people have such a problem with what Baek says bc he's honestly pretty tame compared to what I'm used to. Neither seems to take it seriously so I'm not really sure why some have such a problem with it. I feel like sometimes people are just looking for something to bitch at.

 

Anyone can tell they both really like each other and that it's all in good fun. I doubt Tao is going home crying himself to sleep about it. He seems ultra attached to Baek anyways so people should probably take that as a hint that maayyybbeee Tao doesn't actually mind and has a better sense of humor then some fans do.

Baek does put up with Tao's shenanigans sometimes lol . I thinks he enjoys being an older brother since he is the youngest in his family and Tao likes having someone look out for him since he is an only child. Those are the moments I enjoy the most

Over-analyzing things and speaking as if they personally know their bias 100%. Bitch please, you're basing everything on their interviews, hearsays and broadcasts. Girl, you don't know anything. Anything at all. 

 

Sorry, I just have to let it out. You are like one of the few reasonable and sensible individuals out of 100000000000 other fans from this forum. Oh, the rarity. It's nice to finally speak with someone who is not as narrow-minded as most of the people here.   

 

Anyways, yes. I've seen other groups do worse than what EXO does and they even get physical with all the hitting and whatnots.

Not that I'm judging them tho, it only proves how close they are. Which leads me to say who are we, just mere fans, to be mad at someone for being playful with our idols/biases when they themselves aren't even bothered at the slightest by it? Ugh, I just can't take these fans. It needs to stop. Just look at what this thread proves. Isn't their relationship beautiful?

Can you provide me with some of Baek's sarcasm, since I mostly saw his imitation as his displayed sense of humor?

 

 

I don't think when people take offense with Baek's humor they are putting themselves in Tao's shoe and feeling angry on behalf of him. What I mean is generally speaking, when people react negatively to what someone said, be it humor, sarcasm or commentary, the reaction doesn't associate with the person being directed at; it's the meaning the speaker is aiming to convey which is insulting. So for example, whenever Baek (or Chan) jokes about Kai's skin, I feel offended because the appearance is not meant to be casually joked around like that, let alone a subject as sensitive as skin. Yes, there's cultural difference (I'm from a South East Asian culture so I know), but still I find the joke distasteful, regardless of the cultural acceptance (And who says just because a population practice it, it means you have to internalize it ?). And in regard to sarcastic humor, if Chen is crowned as the king of sass without rubbing anyone in the wrong way, while Baek is criticized for it, it does tell a lot about the difference in their ability to use sarcastic humor brilliantly.
