We already have worked on cases of US music industry and we are curious about how it could be the same and also different in the KPOP industry. I have often read that female trainee suffered from abuse but I would like to know if anyone has serious sources that I could rely on ? And if you have a case about a male that suffered about sexual abuse, I would like to see it too. Also, I would like to know your opinion about this issue. I could use some comments to illustrate my presentation. So I have some questions : Do you think sexual assault scandals are relied differently by western and eastern medias ? Do you think females are more at risk for sexual abuse in the music industry ? Are you worried that an artist you like could have suffered from sexual abuse ? In eastern media, they might try to cover it up a bit more, especially if it is a person of power, and it takes a lot of evidence to get someone down. In western media, I feel like they go on a witch hunt, even without proper evidence. Do you think females are more at risk for sexual abuse in the music industry ? -yes, how many times do you hear about a female trainee/artist being sexually abused, compared to when it is a male trainee? I mean, both happen, but it is a bit more common with the females, from what I gather. Are you worried that an artist you like could have suffered from sexual abuse ? -I don't follow girl groups much, but I have worried about any artist being a victim of that kind of abuse, no matter if I like them or not. Are you worried that an artist you like could have taken part in sexual abuse on another artist into their company ? -I seriously hope that I don't have to consider that option. You can also mention something about LaToya Jackson cause she went through hell! IIRC she was forced by her father to marry some music executive she was treated like a sex slave and had to escape.
