Tbh I go to allkpop and Asianjunkie for news because Soompi is not relevant enough. Some people here say they go to OH for news but doesn't posters here get their articles from Pann, NB, yet Allkpop get those news just as fast with all other relevant kpop articles that are not in NB or pann. OHers hate allkpop because of what they did to Ailee and the kpop fans there. They're all super annoying, tons of trolls. It's a grat place to find petty antis and oppalogists. I'm not going too deep with Ailee's case, I know it's wrong but if delivering news depended on forums, many wouldn't receive the news as AKP is the most visited internationally. More than half of people don't even know what happened with AKP, probably only fandoms and forums. I see a lot of hate for AKP here and it's justified but in fact - AKP's articles are most useful although I personally don't like them. The difference is that I as a forum person - know where to look for more detailed info, (twitter, tumblr, translating sites and original sources) while people who don't - have only articles from AKP, Soompi and whatnot. All the big stories that are posted on here are by translators who don't get their stuff from all kpop since they understand Korean themselves. denizen mars 5,911 Posted March 20, 2017 Share Posted March 20, 2017 I'm an old fart so my hate began when they deleted my forum (6theory) but kpop in general suffers from a lack of legitimate news so you should try to support the folks that actually try to do journalism, like soompi and billboard, and the people that do analysis, like seoulbeats and the grandnarrative, etc. I mostly just go through the headlines on /r/kpop half the time though, but so much stupid shit gets upvoted on there sometimes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
