I remember during AOA's peak with Miniskirt, Short Hair, Like A Cat, they were already in running for top tier and were already posing a threat to sistar, but ever since Twice and Gfriend debuted, their fate totally changed?

I mean aoa is still very successful

but lets be real, why is it so easy for twice and gfriend to surpass AOA??? I WAS ROOTING FOR AOA WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR AOA HOW DARE AOA

First off AoA peak was definitely Heart Attack not Miniskirt or Short hair like you mentioned. AoA songs were popular but they weren't nowhere near top tier status. AoA's songs were more sleeper hits that had great longevity but not #1 chart breaking songs like what Sistar, Gfriend, and Twice come out with. AoA was more of a trendy group that the public was just enjoying their songs, nothing too serious and not much of a threat to Apink/Sistar who were right under the top tier status at their peak. That's why once more serious threat groups( twice & gfriend) people started overlooking AoA.

No they're not, Big Hit and Source are sibling labels. GFriend has the same choreographer as BTS.

Wrong.

There were no official statements from Big Hit nor SouMu about them being a sibling company (unlike Woolim and SM who actually used to be a sibling and has since officially annouced their separations).

SouMu and BigHit have worked together in the past, yes. They co-created and managed GLAM, who sadly did not worked out. Just like Pledis and Fantagio when they created Hello Venus, when they separate, HVenus choice to stick with Fantagio, that's why their Pledis's member is out of the group.

Having the same choreographer is not a rare thing in KPop industries where it's heavily dance oriented. But wrong, GFriend's choreographer is a woman. Mr. Son (BTS choreographer) just helped them for some of their title track (Glass Bead is the only one I know of, he might involved in more tracks but so far no informations about it).

Considering sibling labels isn't an actual term you don't know what I'm referring to and therefore cannot decidely same I'm wrong. Jfc.

wtf TWICE and Gfriend have nothing to do with AOA. I feel like Seolhyun dating Zico at some point and then that history-related scandal (which I have no idea what it was about 'cuz I'm clueless when it comes to Korean history) are the reasons why AOA's popularity dropped a bit but they'll rise again with their next comeback 'cuz their songs are too catchy to sleep on them.
