"Yeeun Discussed The Reason For Wonder Girls’ Disbandment"

"Yeeun, a member of the recently disbanded legendary girl group Wonder Girls, explained why the girls decided to go their separate ways.

 

Recently, Yeeun gave an interview for @Star1’s April pictorial along with the rest of the cast of MBC Every1’s variety program “Cross Country.†When asked about their disbandment, Yeeun said, “We chose to [disband] because we really cared for one another and were looking out for each other.†She added, “More than being sad, I’m more excited for what is to come.â€

 

Yeeun stayed positive, saying, “I’m excited for what the members and I will achieve in the future.â€

 

Wonder Girls recently disbanded after 10 years together. Yeeun and Sunmi left JYP entertainment while Yubin and Hyelim decided to stay. Yeeun is currently looking for a new management company.

the translation is weird imo too, but I believe knowing them that they wanted to do their own thing but not be attached to a group, still don't know why some left JYP or not and I think we will not know for sure what happened for some time

WG is a strong brand, but the members are not. They need to grow as artists onstead of relying forever on WG brand.

A better translation of what she said might be, "It was a decision we made out of careful consideration for each other," which implies that they thought about what was best for each of them individually.

They wanted to go different directions at this point in their lives and JYP/themselves couldn't support that and the group, so they disbanded.

 

Sunmi and Yeeun want to release more of their music, Hyelim is pursuing an academic degree, Yubin is taking time off after her father's passing.

I think she meant in a way that the girls knew what each other wants so they decided what was best for them

If they stayed as a group under JYP they would not achieve or even get the opportunity to try other things

What i dont understand is why Yubin and Hyelim stayed in JYP, i really dont get it tbh

She means that they knew staying at JYP wasn't what all members wanted and what they thought it was better for them, so they decided to let each other follow their own paths instead of insisting on the group. Queens of disbanding for loving each other.

I don't think its that deep, Hyelim wants to pursue her education, Yubin seems more interested in variety while yeeun and sunmi are more into music. It's a matter of choosing which work place that cater your  best interest. What matter is, they remain being good friends
