Thing is I am a newbie to kpop I truly am, It's almost been exactly one year since I got sucked into this vortex and I am trying to listen to/ learn about all the music there is in this vast category. But...How? How did I only find out about this now?! You see I've always thought my first kpop song was 2ne1's "I am the Best" which I stumbled on years ago and really loved but I kinda shelved kpop away. Until I finally really got reeled in by 4Minute about a year ago. But that has be a LIE! My first kpop song wasn't "I am the Best" . . . . . . . I T W A S T H I S (I know it's in english but it counts) How did I never know this? I loved this song when it came out , I have every corner of it memorized, I danced to it continuously for months on end and I never knew it was a Kpop artist? Even after a year of getting into kpop I still didn't know? BoA stans let me rectify this travesty, shower me with all the music I have been missing out on. I can't believe I have consumed endless aegyo girl groups and pastel boy groups in eyeliner, and not noticed this. Her last recent anime OST was Masayume Chasing for the anime Fairy Tail in 2014. It all depends on whether an anime production company wants to use her songs on an anime's OST. But anyway, I grew up with BoA lol. I was a teenager when I found out and listened to her. It's a bit surreal that there are people here who weren't even born yet or were literally babies/toddlers when she first debuted/was at her peak in the early-mid 00s.
