Namjoon watched ''Blue is the warmest color''

Recommended Posts

As much as I love that movie, the two female actors said they hated working with Kechiche, and the experience of filming all those sex scenes (allegedly for hours and hours until he approved) was humiliating for them. In any case, I'm glad Namjoon is open to different types of films!

Wait we can end homophobia by watching two girls make out??? amgplz.png

Lmao as if the movie is only about that? He also talked about Macklemore's LGBT+ song in the past and more, so this isn't his first time approaching this subject. I just think it's pretty nice for an idol (especially from a conservative country like Korea) to be open about it.

Yeah but the director was gross and festishized all the sex scenes to an extreme degree.

That and it's a movie. Watching it doesn't mean much.

well, that's indeed problematic

but im pretty sure no homophobic or close minded person is going to go out of their way to watch a movie about a gay love story

I know it's not his first time dipping his toe into LGBT related stuff, but it's a movie. He watched a movie, he didn't raise a rainbow flag or anything.

Lots of homophobic dudes will watch a movie about two girls. I'm not saying that's why he watched it, but men + lesbians have a long long history of homophobia. Which is why I'm saying, watching one movie doesn't turn him into our kpop LGBT crusader.

he's definitely open about being an ally and i respect that a lot but that movie is entirely "lesbian" porn intended for straight men..the girls end up with men and their entire "love" story is based around fetishistic sex scenes...i'm a lesbian and i couldn't get through the movie lmao. it made me sick. i'm glad he's so into supporting lgbt people but this definitely, by far, isn't the most impressive movie to show it
