Are you good at recieving gifts? I hate any and all gifts for this one reason

I'm the absolute worst at it. My appreciation always seems so fake to me. I mean I can like a gift but I'll always be like, "oh my goooosh *higher pitched soft voice like I'm surprised* thank you *rotating the item around looking at it*"

Every time someone is like, "I'M GONNA GET YOU A GIFT FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY"

I'm always all, "naaaaah, you don't have to." and am all casual about it, like I maybe am humble and don't want a big fuss made over me. In my head  though I'm just like

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DON'T GET ME A GIFT! IF I DON'T LIKE IT I'LL BE FORCED TO BRING OUT THE FAKE "oh my gooooooosh :) It's a ____________" EVEN IF I LIKE IT IT'LL STILL LOOK LIKE I DON'T! DON'T DO THIS TO MEEEEE!

then I realize I'm lowkey being selfish, because, like, what if they genuinely want to show their appreciation of me. Here's the thing though. I don't really share my interests with people. The only thing people really know about me is all of my drama, so getting me a gift would prove to be difficult.

I'm only really thinking of this because my birthday is in 15 days.

Are you good at receiving gifts? Or does your appreciation seem fake despite being actually grateful?

Are you good at faking liking a gift that you don't like?

A simple "Thank you" would suffice, you know laugh.png you don't have to exaggerate your thankfulness. That being said
