sunshinetrbl 783
I just finished watching the movie "a man and a woman" with gong yoo and jeon do yeon & it was like every other both-have-individual-families-but-cheat-cuz-they-"love"-each-other kind of movie. tbh i honestly don't get why people feel the need to glorify cheating in movies/shows/dramas like I can never find it in myself to pity the people cheating no matter how "in love" they are & pitiful the director makes them out to be. i can't find a legitimate excuse for ppl that cheat *ahem hong sang soo & kim min hee cough* i just don't understand the concept of cheating like y commit to a relationship if u like someone else or ur gonna cheat anyways? i never get myself in a relationship cuz im still young & ik i can't commit to one person like what's the point of ppl who commit to a relationship & then cheat? OUO 3,660
Cheating is disgusting but I think it's portrayed in movies, just like we have movies about the cool spy who get to kill people but in real life no one would agree with murder, they're taboos that are explored in movies because of the excitement and rush they bring to the viewer although personally I wouldn't enjoy a movie about cheating. in good taste 213
Same. I know a lot of people who've cheated or got in the way of someone's marriage. My job involves counseling and it's so crazy whenever clients talk to me and rationalize their actions... his wife was no good, he got tired of her, I was the only person who could support him during times of crisis, etc. It's happening too often these days, sometimes I wonder if I'm the one being too traditional or uptight bec I absolutely don't think it can be excused under any circumstances. (I have a copy of that movie too, but I never got around to watching it.)
