Since I've been learning German, I think it sounds beautiful when a German speaks English.

Aww thank you! I always feel like it sounds way to harsh and...just awkward I suppose? And my accent isn't even that strong to begin with. Hope your studies go well, if you ever need any help lemme know!

I know the feeling. I'm from the southern states of the US, so my accent sounds incredibly harsh sometimes. It's frustrating because I know my accent is not nearly as strong as other southern accents, but I still have a hard time pronouncing certain words or learning new languages because of it. So I really appreciate your kind words. chuplz.png

I got rid of a lot of my accent as a child because people mocked me for it. These days I don't care for it much and sometimes speak in a thick accent. In my previous workfield talking with an accent was impossible so I turned it off there as well. Am I embarrassed of it? Depends on the sutuaion but normally I am not.
