Director Hong Sang Soo (56) and actress Kim Min Hee (35) officially confirmed the affair rumors. 

 

At the press conference for the film 'On the Beach at Night Alone' on March 13, Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee appeared together. During the event, the couple was asked about their relationship.

 

In response, Hong Sang Soo revealed, "We're in a relationship. We sincerely love each other. The reason why we didn't' speak up about the media reports was because we didn't think it was necessary."

 

He continued, "I was a bit concerned about coming here. The media did cause difficulties in my life but I don't think it's right for me to meet the international press but not the Korean press. But personal matters are personal. It's something that we have to take care of ourselves. I hope we can just talk about the movie since we're here for the movie."

 

Kim Min Hee also shared words, and said, "We treasure our relationship and we're in love with great sincerity. I will accept my current situation and everything that's coming towards me."

 

Hong Sang Soo and Kim Min Hee's relationship came to surface back in June and the couple continued to receive criticism ever since. Currently, Hong Sang Soo and his wife are undergoing divorce.
