Also the song in the video is definitely produced by Youngjo. The talent jumped out.

I really hope these boys gain some success and don't end up like Vromance (their label mates that no one knows..). I would love to see them in award shows and all types of stages they deserve to be in. The CEO said he had plans to make them successful and was planning on following Big Hit's promotional strategies but um I haven't seen any of that yet. Hopefully once they debut things get better. As long as they gain a decent fanbase like Pentagon or something I'll be happy. 

 

This coming year there's going to be some strong boy group debuts so I hope they don't get overshadowed completely.

^they have a lot of things going on for them than VROMANCE and no.1 is age, no.2 the type of music.

VROMANCE even when they started have the age thing against them - they are old in kpop bg standard (25avg on debut) and could not fit into the idol archetype and was then relegated more to ballad artist side with their releases. It's unfortunate they can't find the fanbase but even if they tried with the school tours they just could not appeal to the demographic of a usual BG. I always wonder if they go ballad style route like Urban Zakapa since the start if it would been different than trying to get some of the BG demog and going more for public appeal.  It's unfortunate plus the marketing really don't know what to do - to be fair its hard - but i can't forgive them giving up.  

 

OneUs have the age thing going for them. They are the age of typical kpop bg. Zion is gonna be a big visual boost [see his fansite are so many even if he was one of the last two introduced]. It's more easier for them to get the fangirls. Heck I can say get Zion to the school tours and see fangirls fall for him [Middle school-Highschool kids] and his that age too. Get Seoho do backflip and sing high notes.

 

Their song is also youthful - RavN seems to be given greenlight to produce. They have more appeal to that demographic than their sunbaes.  They getting alot more promo , 2 reality show etc.. Now the only we can hope is that the debut song be good and can catch up. As from what I heard its good.  So I have more hope for them as they are package more for their target audience. In the end most times a good song get you there easier.

 

Jan 2 !? then if its that we get to see some promos dropping soon and early January is safely barren most of the time. As most group killed each other in November-December. 

 

I'll be clear here I'am a more of Keonhee (Gunhee) / Seoho (Gunmin) - OG Gun Line fan. I'll check them when release is here.   

As for promo - maybe more vlives, they already get the reality shows. School tours like what Vromance did it will be more effective for them. Buskings. Hoping they get to book both idol room and weekly idol. Their promo will be more typical of kpop groups than that of their seniors.

It is true that they have more appeal but with all these new groups making their debut with all of them having cute members they need something else to stand out. RBW has good composers so I am really looking forward to their songs and concepts and the CEO has a record of making hits which is what most groups lack.

Valkyrie... I am so thrown off by that album name lol but it seems like they won't make their debut with any of the songs they were busking with which makes me happy. English Girl and the other song were cute but not debut worthy imo. Do you guys think rbw will put enough effort into these music videos to fill them with story lines and theories lol

I didn't really know what Valkyrie meant until I looked it up on wiki and it's admittedly an odd name but I'm also intrigued. Like I'm excited for the concept pics and stuff. And the little we have so far indicates a darker concept which makes me happy. As you said the pre-debut songs are ok but definitely not what I wanted for their debut. Like I know fans love EG but I find the lyrics a bit cringe and childish. I want something more mature for them. Plus darker concepts have more appeal to kpop fans.

 

As for the music video, I wouldn't expect anything high budget because it's RBW, I just hope it's not some cheap mess and they put some effort at least lmao.

I was just wondering for the music video because the album title seems complex...I feel like it's a thing now for kpop groups to have theories and stuff since it seems to attract a lot of international fans that love that type of thing ex Loona and BTS. But you're right RBW...

Guys - i just want to remind you that as much as they look quite big now ... RBW is still a small - mid tier company. You know money / budget will still be an issue. As much as I want to deride them about MV budget is still a reality of their situation.

Probably starting tomorrow .... I mean Monday I forgot Sunday is usually not posting day for RBW.  I hope they do some press release, then we get a schedule - then drop the teasers, afterwards. 

 

As you see I AM ODDLY OPTIMISTIC - I'm trying to see if my wishing powers will work.

I'm still thinking they're waiting for the 22nd to officially announce on all social medias... I know the company can be incompetent in the marketing department but announcing a debut on the fancafe as a banner is beyond dumb.

 

I get that most of the fans that are going to be going supporting them directly are on the fancafe but this is.. weird. 

 

I'm honestly more excited than angry. I have been waiting for their debut for months but these last couple of days are going to be the longest.
