I hope he teams up with contestants with more skill next time because I saw the older guy was still lacking during the actual performance. But atleast he gets a great narrative in ep4

This is a summary of all the things I’ve seen so far regarding Youngmin’s performance last night. Please take these with a grain of salt; we do not know for sure what happened until the actual broadcast airs on Friday.

It is confirmed that Youngmin was on the same team as Kim Donghyun and Kim Dongbin. They performed Zico and Babylon’s “Boys & Girls.â€

Dongbin is rumored to be the center.

Dongbin supposedly messed up his lyrics and it caught Youngmin off-guard so his expression was not good and he might’ve stumbled on one of the words in his rap.

Some fans say that their stage was “a mess†but others say they did well.

Fans are predicting that when Youngmin was shown being scolded in the ep 6 preview, it was because of his other team member’s mistakes.

Youngmin might’ve done a satoori rap. His voice is very sexy and was very heart-fluttering.

Donghyun originally wanted to do vocal (acoustic) but instead had to choose rap and did well! He didn’t mess up his rap at all. He also sang Babylon’s vocal parts.

People are acknowledging that Youngmin is a good leader and has suffered a lot. Some are even calling Youngmin the team’s hard carry.

During their ment, Dongbin cried and asked everyone to vote for Youngmin and Donghyun bc of his mistake. Youngmin also cried.

During the interview, Donghyun sang Hongdae Geondae again.

I’m not sure what outfits they wore but this tweet explains it, if anyone can translate it please let me know!

Youngmin was very handsome in real life and possibly wore black and white clothes.

He was also trending #6 on naver right after the recording!

I really want all the BNM boys to head to Top 22 if possible and get the full experience tbh  I want to see all four of them until the final episode (it would be too greedy for me to hope atleast 2-3 of them to enter Top11, so I'm trying to manage my expectations because not all the voters recognise talent  )

wooow thank you so much for taking the time and summarizing these. Ive seen alot of tweets about some of what you said but I also missed some. Daaaaamn if it was a satoori rap ( + with ym deep voice) I think I can die at piece now    cant wait omfg. Btw ive seen alot of people saying how youngmin always suffers and  man I gotta agree. Omg this poor bb. It was also nice hearing donghyun pick rap (despise being a vocal) to challenge himself in a situation that if he mess up or did bad he can get negative responds and be eliminated.

Imma be heart broken tbh if none of them made it into top 11.  Still, Idk how  or when, but I ended up liking all of the Brand New Trainees despite only liking youngmin at first. thats why Im really happy that people are waking up now and are noticing  the other three instead of only daehwi   

Yeah, I don't want alpaca to be the icon of suffering because of his teammates either  I was glad he teamed with Donghyun again though! I have a feeling that in ep6's preview, when Cheetah was talking about you can't do as well when you're from Brand New Music ? is referring to Donghyun who is obviously an acoustic guy. Or maybe she was scolding Youngmin who is the leader of that group because of Dongbin who has no experience in rapping either.

 

I hope both Donghyun and Youngmin had done well, I don't want them to lose their smile which is so precious.

 

I think atleast one of them in Top 11 is definitely feasible (Daehwi), if we're lucky we might get two. But I'm all for all four of them to make it to Top 22 but not Top 11 so we can have a debut quick

Youngmin is rising like how he deserves!  I wish the same goes for Donghyun tbh, I was expecting a good stage with both of them but someone not to be named had to jeopardise it 

Poor Youngmin he seem so stressed, being under a good label comes with lots of stress to live up to its name  I think he's definitely Jonghyun aka Nation's Leader in the making, just give him a few more years of experience because he has kindness and compassion innate in him.

my heart aches every time i think of donghyun. i call myself a bnm stan but im really happy ym and woojin rised so much that im kinda makin myself ignore the fact donghyun and daehwi dropped rankings. :( mostly donghyun case, boy can sing, dance, play instruments, and decent at rap tbh. hes also so nice *sigh* 

 

i didnt want to say it but his part was hella bad but thinking hes a 7 months trainee im like eh. but still guanlin although not the greatest is getting so much better. tbh the overall perf was still a lil lacking compare to the others (sorry paca and donghyunie) 

 

right the pressure. i mean brand new is not only a good label , its one of the best label for hip hop so yeah poor bb. and he got more stressed cause the expectation is more from him instead of donghyunnie ( imean isnt he a vocal) . People are actually saying their the same kind so that makes me so happy, since i also like jonghyuns personality  and i kinda see it.

Same, it's a hard stance to be in because they won't all rise like how we wish for it to be. Donghyun though, I hope he gets acknowledged for his performance because I thought he did the best. He clearly showcased to be a triple threat - sings, raps and dances well. The last two he's decently enough in it which definitely makes him even more idol material. You're right, the stage leaves a lot to be desired, maybe lack of charisma (I think Daehwi and Woojin has the most stage charisma among the four) or practice or the song choice didn't really match them.

 

Yeah about Dongbin.. Not sure what was it in his mind to choose rap... It's impossible to pick it up within a short period of 1 week, I just can't...  He ruined the stage for me to the point I won't go and review their performance lol 

 

Yup he carries too much burden as the leader. I just want BNM to debut my four boys and Alpaca will have an easier life as the leader because the three are just too good

Yup I assumed it was just dance as well, his rap impressed me more than his singing in the audition

  Ahh... I always assume companies train dance + either vocal or rap at the same time. So I thought he might have trained for dance+ vocal before.

 

Btw I backtracked and saw that he auditioned for JYPE along with the other bnm boys. Do we know how long he trained in JYPE?

Youngmin never officially joined JYPE, he only went to audition and got first place. He then later joined RBW and another company.

Only Daehwi, Woojin, Donghyun (+Woo Jinyoung) did actually join JYP but switched out to BNM later hence it explains why Somi only mentioned those names.

Okay dis got long, I just complained a lot huhur. It's self-indulgent, feel free to skip!

 

In regards to this + the user you mentioned in the post I spoilered...yeah, I actually replied to her before when she first complained about Youngmin fans in the PD101 thread but never got a response lol. I do generally enjoy reading her thoughts about the show, but she definitely lets her concern for her bias' success blind her into making unfair negative assumptions about other trainees/fans, when she most likely would have given the benefit of the doubt and been more understanding with her own faves. I've been following the Park Sungwoo thread since before the show started airing, and there was a very noticeable change in her attitude towards not just Youngmin, but Be Mine 2 members as a whole, when Sungwoo's rank started dropping and after position evaluation spoilers started coming out. She became convinced that Be Mine 2 ostracized Sungwoo and treated him horribly, and that Shape of You was much more accepting of him. Which is like...what? The footage we saw showed both teams getting along with him just fine. She said Small Woojin mentioned all the Be Mine 2 members except Kenta and Sungwoo in his ep5 speech, and that it makes sense for Kenta since he is in a different friend group with Insoo and Eunki, but that this is hard evidence of Sungwoo being shunned. Complete BS, there are alternative explanations too...the members Small Woojin did mention, he either trained with in B initially (Donghyun, Sewoon, Youngmin, Daniel) or trained with once he moved up to A (Big Woojin, plus Youngmin and Daniel again). Plus Youjin wasn't mentioned either, nobody was out to get Sungwoo. Not to mention she had also previously been perfectly happy with pictures of Sungwoo and Youngmin together at the baseball game... 

 

I never tried to clarify since she's free to have her own opinions, plus it would have felt like disrespecting the "privacy" of an invidual thread to me haha, but same, I don't like how she has been letting that ill-will carry over into the main PD101 thread in the form of thinly-veiled negative commentary that will affect other users there and spread into other parts of the PD101 i-viewership. She kinda exposed herself too? Like after people started sharing the Youngmin clarification posts from Pann/Twitter, she was like "Oh yeah, I already heard from my Korean friends yesterday that this thing might not even be true, about time it started reaching here lol." Please sis, in the past hour you have already posted several fear-mongering items about Youngmin such as "Twitter accounts are closing!!!" when you probably mean like, the five Youngmin accounts you're following lmao, versus the dozens of Youngmin accounts I'm following that are still open for business (aside from @youngmin101gif rip will be missed). So why not mention that the Japan thing might be false earlier then? Either you are lying out of your ass and never knew that clarifications were coming, or you just exposed yourself because you kept on lowkey trying to freak people out (which does have a snowball effect on others) despite knowing the rumors are false.

 

 

That's out of my system, I feel better now yay! But yeah, Youngmin will be fine. Unclear if one-pick is still a thing now but at least it will mess with everybody's rank, not just his, especially if voters try to do strategic "check" voting like with position evals. Anyways as his fans the best thing we can do is continue spreading positivity and make sure the clarification posts reach as wide an audience as possible. Have there been threads for it yet? When they are made, we should also post links to them in the original "Youngmin has a girlfriend!" threads so that people who stumble upon them in the future will get the full story.

I might have accidentally triggered her last time when I mentioned that I was excited for my favs in Be Mine Team 2 and left out her fav and another contestant and she kinda went raging 

She's seen trying to drag down other contestants after they start to rise (when she has previously praised them like Youngmin and Cube chicks but goes right back from her words) Such a contradiction

So I haven't posted here for ages, just wanted to share this. I don't think any of the boys including Youngmin will leave BNM if they don't make it because Rhymer has invested a lot of resources into them and seems to treat them really well from renovating their practice room to providing nice dorms for them.

 

There are also another two trainees back in the 'dungeon' and they seem to be opening auditions, if anything it feels like they're making a debut soon, probably a side project before they all come together and make a real debut.

 

The BNM pride thing must have explained why Youngmin was so stressed during position evaluations since he didn't want to disappoint his label brand, he's gonna make a good leader in leading the boys.

Considering it's a hiphop company, it's very ironic how different the treatment is compared to actual idol companies. He has more business sense, which is surprising. 

Yeah he actually views support videos and comments for the boys via Instagram and just actually posted a picture of Donghyun not too long ago today. He captioned it as practising, but for what we don't know yet.

I thought he was a scary existence to them but what a plot twist  Guess he was really confident of them getting atleast A's or B's during the audition considering their current skills.

To be honest I'm a little relieved that Youngmin is in this company, I'd definitely want him to debut but at least i know Rhymer will not be the type of person to let him go so easily if he doesn't make it. The renovated practice area definitely means we're going to expect more from BNM trainees whilst BOI is promoting. 

Yup, the Brand New boys sure are winners even before they entered this program, and clearly are going to be the biggest winners regardless of the outcome. They even had the most fans (well considering there are four of them xD but there were as many BNM fans as there were with Pledis) during the concept evaluation.

 

It's been Youngmin's dream to be an idol with him auditioning and testing waters in several companies, I'm glad BNM was the one who took him in and we have him as the leader of the rest of the boys. I still have some hope for 3 BNM boys getting in, I think chances are as good as 3 Pledis trainees seeing how the Nu'est fans seem to be concentrating on Jonghyun (as per the leaked spoiler).
