Probably because I don't follow any international pd101 fansites and I rarely go on the main thread but I had no idea the hate he gets was this bad OMG what's wrong with people. I am so glad international fans don't get to vote

I think I am the only one who loved his audition performance, I never thought it was cringey and actually found it super hot, I watched it so many times. And about the age thing, that's such a stupid reason to hate on someone. Didn't the main guy from reply 1988 debut at 30 as well? He's a 86er. Also I think Kahi was actually in a really similar position Sungwoo is in, she debuted at 29 and had a huge age gap with the maknae from after school (she's an 80er and Lizzy is a 92er)

Mess. I don't think I've ever stanned anyone who's gotten so much hate before and he hasn't even officially debuted yet. But I'm taking all this pretty lightly seeing as normally the popular ones get hate so that just proves how relevant he is

Whether it makes me a bad fan or not I still want him to make the final group if it's what he wants. I think getting hate is unavoidable part of being an idol or any celebrity for that matter. And I have to admit I'm not someone who stans for talent, I think as long as a group has 1 or 2 talented members, it's enough. I would rather have charming idols with good personalities but still, I hope Sungwoo keeps improving

 

I don't think we fit the akgae term though xD akgaes are only fans of one person from a group and bash the other members which I think none of us are seeing as most if not all of us have other faves and criticism doesn't = bashing and let's be honest here, I think we criticise Sungwoo more than any other contestant

I just saw the list, it's believable but where is Lee Gunhee I don't think he was ranked that low before and I thought he was just starting to gain popularity

That's who I used as my example. He wasn't ranked low, was on a winning team and... yeah. See look here:

 

 

Take Gunhee's rankings in the last 3 weeks - 17, 24, 27. A slight decline, right? But when you add to that he was on a winning team (in fact he was ranked 17th based on votes) and... somehow he's not even top 60? What logic is there that someone who's in the top 30 and who was on a winning team would suddenly drop 30+ spaces? I just don't see how it's possible.

Sungwoo will most likely drop after voting resets. I hope mnet doesn't give up on his screen time though I'm pretty happy with what he got in ep4

Though... now that I've watched episode 6 of the first season I feel like maybe vocal isn't the best choice either. Maybe going the So Hye route and doing dance really is his best option?

 

 

I do feel like the bigger storyline for him would be going Sohye-route and picking a smaller dance group. It would make him stick out a bit more and he is the most likely for the Sohye-pick since he showed his good work-ethic through our last mission, but if he can show some good expressions in a ballad vocal, I think it could be okay? Ahhh, idk

Just I would prefer he didn't rap, we have plenty of people who will gun for that already

Sohye's formula was:

Bad Audition + F rank both times + mentored by A rank and admirably finished first mission through their help, had a good work ethic the whole time + a good personality + a little air-headed and funny + dance evaluation where she did surprisingly well (through more being taught well) and got attention + was on the most popular team for concept evaluation = IOI

 

So it seems like Sungwoo is the closest right now of the two (though with how much they showed Hyunbin in the F class people were expecting him to take the Sohye route, now it doesn't seem as likely) so we will have to see how it goes from here.

The other thing with Sohye is she did kind of have a pretty big pool of haters that didn't want her in the group, but she had enough people rooting for her as the underdog and voting for just her that she made it, so lots of haters isn't the end of the world.

F rank both times: Sungwoo, Hyunbin

mentored by A rank and admirably finished first mission through their help: Sungwoo (Youngmin even though he is B), Hyunbin (Jonghyun idk what rank he is)

had a good work ethic the whole time: Sungwoo so far

good personality: Sungwoo

a little air-headed and funny: Sungwoo is definitely air headed, not sure about funny. Hyunbin is neither imo but that's subjective

I agree about the hate thing as well, I saw A LOT of posts hating on Sohye when season 1 aired, so much that even though I didnt watch the show i know who she was lol

That top 60 list, I just had a look at it again and Lee Woojin is 48 I don't think that's possible

Also, I saw another list on a Korean site before with contestants who have most likely been eliminated and at least 2 are on the top 60 list so I'm going to take that list with a grain of salt for now

Chibal at a surprisingly strong 10th based on the people polled. That's not bad at all! Maybe there is hope yet. â€‹Though I'm skeptical of koreaboo stuff, but... I'll take it

Oh I saw this on Pann just then so it's definitely not unfounded! There are quite a few lists from different Korean sites though and they all vary so I don't want to get my hopes up
