In regards to screentime.. they probably won't get much compared to BIL or Sorry2 but maybe a little more than Shock or Mansae? It probably depends on how much drama occurred during their practice (based on the preview, maybe they'll edit them having difficulty with the choreography? More screentime?). They might get more airtime since they have some popular members like Woojin and Sewoon? Maybe Mnet will feel the need to show us Sungwoo's audition clip again too if Youngmin teaches him how to do the wave xD

It seems like someone is negging in the main thread too rn. Maybe it would be better not to post there saying that there is discourse about about other trainees here? Especially because that thread has new darlings now (the B1F4 crowd seems to have left for individual threads too) and those stans don't seem particularly open to acknowledging how screentime and editing shapes our perceptions of the contestants, which is something that is dicussed here quite a bit.

 

 

Anyways, that is really touching to hear about Chibal. He seems a bit kooky to me, but I get good vibes from him. The way he talks, his mannerisms, and how he treats others especially

 

Also kinda random, but I think he would have made a good ballerino if anyone had suggested it to his parents early enough. I see untapped talent in that area haha, such a pity.

 

 

Late response and lost the quote but thanks for welcoming me to the thread! The trainees I'm most fond of are the BNM boys and I'll be following them when they debut. I have a few other favorites (there is a wall though) but tbh I'm not that invested in who the Final 11 will be haha, I just hope all the trainees are able to find the show a worthwhile experience overall and nobody is like, devastatingly crushed by going on it ;n;

 

 

Me tooooooo. What if they were so "pretty" as Sewoon said that it's not interesting enough screentime haha. I think they'll go with either Woojin getting sick or Sungwoo working hard.

 

 

I was total IOI trash (but only 2 faves of mine got in last season!) so I'm kinda looking forward to the upcoming group and totally didn't expect getting so invested. But I somehow feel that the companies didn't send their ace trainees this season, except for the smaller ones. 

 

For some reason, they might end up being the team who had good vibes? Or maybe (just a prediction) Youngmin might be getting a hero edit for managing that team well. They're the unlikeliest people you'd put together tbh, and it's amazing how they were so cohesive (even Justice League had that beautiful, talented men concept going in for them but every single soul in Be Mine is a different kind of guy - nationality, age, forte, personality, they were as different as night and day)

Honestly if people get triggered by the posts here clearly they do NOT know the difference between discourse and hating. and thats a big IF tho, Sungwoo and all 7 noonas are irrelevant internationally anyways, I doubt anyone actually even cares aside from the usual visitors. I was on the main thread a bit and Daehwi fans are nowhere to be found omg?? did Kang Daniel end miss Daehwi?? are Daniel stans the new Daehwi stans? 

 

 

 

 

As much as I love Miss KAng Daniel and want him to rise you are completely delulu if you think Daniel's rise isn't the least bit suspicious. There were more trainees that were on the radar; not only Seongwoo, but nuest, BIL boys, even deadass Kuan Lin. the views of these trainees' vids are more or less proportionate to their hype pre-fancam week, as well as the feedback form the recent ep. Some examples:

 

- Jihoon as a wall, Daewhi dropping a bit in popularity (3rd highest views in BIL) when that avengers scandal mess surfaced and Samuel rising

- Seongwoo and Nuest getting pretty high views no surprise there

- Kuan Lin breathing and getting 300k views

- Haknyeon and BYJ losing steam but not completely

 

Daniel was on the radar but overtaking the ones above in such a short time is VERY suspicious. People like to bring up Jisung as proof that fans really like the MMO boys and are the ones really making the them rise but his views are nowhere NEAR the ones I mentioned above... I mean when even Seonho has higher views... and Jisung's the one that's IN the top 11 lmao

I dont have a tumblr/twitter so I cannot advertise him or her enough but if you guys can spread the blog that would be great way to thank the translator   Its a fantastic translation by the way, here's hoping more testimonies will get translated too. A compilation of translated testimonies might make i-fans more aware why he's ranking so high. theres just so much its a pity only a few are translated

 

 

 

I’m going to talk about what Sungwoo hyung was like during our military enlistment.

 

Sungwoo hyung worked in the supply utility in the medical corps at the military. He was discharged in 2015, so he was on the older side.

 

As shown in the PR, he’s a little out of it and has a vague side to him.

 

He’s really handsome, and even when we teased him about his age, he would just play along while laughing.

 

He would often give advice to his peers and subordinates, so we were very grateful for him.

 

I was in the special division of the medical corps, and even I would try my best to flatter the higher-ups like everyone else. Sungwoo hyung didn’t do that and it was painful to see him suffer while being dragged around.

 

The hyung who lead the group while marching… The hyung I laughed with in the dorms and would have conversations with until we fell asleep.. That hyung is on TV like this…

 

I thought it was good that because of the article he gained a lot of popularity…On the other hand, I was worried that his popularity would bring him a lot of anti-fans.

 

When we lived together for about one and a half years, I never saw Sungwoo hyung get angry or worked up.

 

The Sungwoo hyung I met at the military was a warm and silly hyung. I’m not sure if he still remembers me.

Like come on, I hold that he is still starting from a better place talent-wise than Sohye, he is stable, no major lyric flubs, and he is having to learn boy group choreographies which on average are much more difficult.

I am hoping that he gets on a nice, older ballad for the position evaluation stage and steals everyone in Korea's hearts, so haters can go on crying about how unfair it is that our Chibal is doing better in the voting than their favs.

  

I do plan on making one, but theres only like 2 fully translated and 1 semi-translated testimonies so far  

1. the one from Dispatch translated by bd101 - says a lot about him being humble and hardworking

2. this small translated bit - says Sungwoo is very bright and positive

3. this testimony you posted a gist of - the intense level kindess bit would be a great if it was fully translatedTheres a few more I'm hoping for full translations of, just so people can see a clearer picture of why he's ranking quite highly among casual viewers. Especially the bit about Sungwoo having no sense of seniority, age not mattering to him, the basketball bit, etc. I think this'll be a good way to break that cool and collected "Song Joongki" image he has and get i-fans to see him the same light as most Knetz. I might as well add a few jokes from Knetz too, honestly I think most of his kfans see him as a kind and very goofy ahjussi and not just a cool handsome oppa.

1. Shipping that Ong-Daniel + Woojin family thing

2. All of B1F4 on their top 11. one or two is fine, but all?? lmao

3. Not an ounce of main vocal (starship guys, jaewhan, or that fnc guy) in their top 11 / thinking Daehwi and Little Woojin are enough

4. The only other dancer they know aside from Ong Seongwoo is Kenta

 

What really bothers me is of all trainees they hate on Sungwoo who has never even cracked Top 11.

 

Also the multiple onepick surveys is earning him more haters especially among the Samuel fans. Like I wanna tell them to chill since those are not final and things change with every ep.

Also just a penny for our thoughts: let us try not to be bitter with the rise of other trainees. It is pointless to speculate what we dont know anyway. There are also trainees I dont feel but I try my best to see what makes them click. At the end, having a pick boils down to preference anyway. And tbh, Kang Daniel did well in his versus stage so lets just be happy this program is making the dreams of these kids come true.

I think as of this point, it is in the interest of everyone who loves Sungwoo genuinely that he doesn't make it to the final group. I feel whether it is his age or his skills, he would not get out of the hate if he pursues the idol path. I am sure his goal is a stable career in entertainment so I hope he just maximizes the P101 exposure (hopefully make it to top 22) to eventually build a name recall.

 

He has always been hated even by Knetz, if you notice there is always a close ratio between upvotes and downvotes on stuff about him after the audition. Makes me think this is also why he developed a stable akgae fanbase - he is kind of an underdog in that sense that fans might have felt really protective of him. His fans are pretty devoted, they support the other boys who is in his circle in P101 too.

 

So many hate posts in both Knetz and iNetz side for Chibal and Hyunbin right now. It makes me wanna root for Hyunbin in a way, but going through it made me realize Chibal might be better off doing an acting career - which is honestly more stable and long lasting than being an idol to the point that idols revert to it when their popularity fades.

 

the thing is, I feel the hate will magically fade if he deserts the idol thing. Watch people talk about how much they love him when he stars in the next hit rom com drama as second male lead smh.

And they listened to our wants and showed him working well with his juniors to learn the choreography. Like he sucked in showing Kahi, yeah, but after that a montage of him working and working on getting it right with different members of his team. Good guy Park Sungwoo keeping on being kind.

We were totally right tho that the Sungwoo mentorship is what will help Youngmin rise. That hero edit Youngmin got will really put him onthe radar for sure. We have been calling it out weeks back and it is finally happening. I am sure he is gonna rake in votes enough to land in Top 20 with that edit.

Yeah, I feel like the Coven got exactly what we wanted. Reasonable screentime and it was positive screentime at that. I know that comparing them to last seasons isn't an accurate thing, but I really do feel like he's the closest thing to a Sohye we have this season.

 

(Hyunbin is similar, but I feel like his edit wasn't as positive so it's harder to make that comparison for me.)

 

Gosh, I do love how his personality always seems to come through. I feel like as long as he works hard and keeps on being himself, he should be fine.

 

 

 

No one ever said the flower path was smooth. Flowers are just as likely to have thorns as they are to not. I'm not too worried about anti's all things considered. Every idol ever has those, you know? What's new there.

 

Basically I'm here for whatever path Sungwoo decides he wants to walk at the end of the day. If he wants to walk the path of an idol singer? Then I'll support him. If this is just an acting stepping stone? I'm here for that too.

My mother was like 'People had better vote for Youngmin! He worked so hard! The fact that he didn't get the votes in their showcase is such a shame!' about it.

 

Though I really loved how we got to see little bits of the others helping him too. It really felt like a group effort. Which was really sweet to see.

 

It just really breaks my heart to see how people call him hopeless and stuff. Such a wonderful human being does not deserve this. Who are we to call people hopeless? I am sure those trainees took years of practice to be able to perform like that. If you have been training for at least two years, I would expect a certain standard. Chibal just does not have that background but people are shooting him down. Even Jung Sewoon practiced dancing for the past 2 years so he is actually decent.

 

I am actually hoping Youngmin rises. I feel if he and JR are in the group, they are the calming, level headed presences that would really benefit them.

Some thoughts on the Be Mine teams

1. Mixed reactions on which team is better. imo I think it has to do with FNC guy's little yeunjung moments which got people shooketh. thats cos Sewoon/Jaewhan (more popular picks) > FNC + less popular main vocals >> Woojin >>> Hotshot guys. OH Sungwoo stans already know this tho, that intl fans overrate Woojin a little bit so its no surprise to us lol

2. Sewoon fans need to chill for a bit. Nobody is saying it now, but if people start saying that Sewoon deserves higher points/screentime than Sungwoo I will slap somebody. He didnt have much issues this challenge so mnet has nothing to air anyways! Im 100000% positive he'll get his much awaited screentime and rise in the vocal position challenge. Our Sungwoo will absolutely die in either dance or vocal positions omg. also I felt both Be mine teams got short screen times compared to others.

3. Youngmin's points - Mr Park Sungwoo is actually Youngmin's #1 agkae and is leading the #JusticeForYoungmin campaign himself so yes we are aware. Hopefully Youngmin rises some more in the next challenge.*not sure which exact time it was said tho, but more or less the same probably

Yeah, no matter how you look at it tho, him making it to top 11 would be really, really great. Barring his dance/singing level he can help out in other ways anyway; CFs, variety, acting. Miss Chaeyeon, despite not being as good in singing as the others, was THE face of IOI, snatching a ton of CFs, acting gigs, and varieties left and right. I know Somi is the official center but... you know what I mean

Have any of you seen the rumored top 60 list? I know it is not proven but Sungwoo's ranking there is more or less what I was expecting (22) so I kind of want to believe it.

 

Considering a lot of his votes were part of the early hype he had, I am quite worried for him for the vote reset. He needs a shining edit to make it to 35 safely with all the trainees rising but it seems the Sungwoo hate among Knetz is now minimal because people have been contrasting his attitude against F trainee Kwon Hyunbin.

 

1. They say Sungwoo kept practicing tirelessly

2. They talk about the big jump in improvement Chibal had from rehearsals

3. Some Knetz even noted that while he was stiff, he did not make any mistakes during the performance which showed how hard he must have practiced because he could not even complete one set of routine in practice properly

4. People have also been comparing his interview and stage speech to Kwon Hyunbin because Sungwoo kept saying that if it is his last stage, it is deservingly so and he kept talking about how all the credits to this stage belongs to Youngmin & the dongsaengs. His speech was sincerely touching that Knetz understoodbwhy the other boys cried.

5. The more recent comments still criticized how terrible his perf was but acknowledged the big improvement. But even the critics talked about how conflicted they felt because he had an amazing work ethic and had a wonderful personality to boot so it was hard to hate him lol.

What logic is there that someone who's in the top 30 and who was on a winning team would suddenly drop 30+ spaces? I just don't see how it's possible.

 

 

We are six days from knowing anyway then let us see if there is some sort of meltdown.

 

I still lol at everyone thinking Daniel is Woojin's real daddy but MNet will push the narrative they want.
